I agree with you there. 4 very over paid youngsters. At least they didn't disappoint. It may not have been Boston this year, but they still managed to choke.

Happy Tuesday Q sters,
I can really see how much the mornings have changed. It use to be sunlight trying to peer in thru any slit in the curtains, to now it's still dark at 5:30am & i can watch the sun rise while eating my breakfast.
Today, we're suppose to have showers as a cold front comes thru. Not sure how much it will cool things down, but it might take some of the humidity away.
Stay cool, dry & safe.
good morning, qts!

Happy Hump Day Q sters,
What a hockey game last night. It took 5 OT periods before Brayden Point, at the 10:27th mark of 5th OT to finally get the puck in the net. It was the 2nd goal for him that night, scoring in the 1st period. The Columbus goalie saved 85 out of 88 shots & the TB goalie saved 61 out of 63 shots. What a marathon.
Have a great day & stay safe.
Happy Birthday, Lee03!
You certainly have a nice day for it. I hope you're celebrating it at the boat.

Are we going to end up with another 5 periods of OT for the Bruins/Hurricane game? They are tied at the end of regulation at 3.
1st OT is done, still tied.
Patrice Bergeron scored the winning goal in 1:13 of the 2nd OT period to beat the Canes 4-3.
Happy Birthday Kenrod! Hope you have a great day.

Good morning fellow Canucks!
Wow, it is Thursday already. The week has just blown by. Thanks for the guitar cakes! That is pretty much what I will be doing tonight. A few friends planned to get together and jam in one of their back yards. I didn't realize what day it was until after I agreed, so, it will be pizza and beer for dinner tonight.
Have a great day folks!
Happy Birthday kenrod, hoping your having a wonderful day!!!

https://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/...6&q=60&o=f&l=f
https://forum.smartcanucks.ca/image/...AASUVORK5CYII=When it launched the S 1000 RR-based HP4 Race three years ago, BMW proved the carbon fiber technologies it has honed in racing and road cars could make the leap to two wheels. It’s only a matter of time before a more mass-produced carbon sportbike reaches showrooms, and a new patent from BMW hints that it could be even more advanced than its predecessor.
https://forum.smartcanucks.ca/{"defa...=f&l=f"}}© Provided by Cycle World Overlaying the BMW patent drawing over a current S 1000 RR gives clues to what the unit could look like.As a reminder, the HP4 Race was BMW’s range-topping superbike back in 2018, weighing in at just 377 pounds wet thanks to a carbon fiber frame, bodywork, and wheels. Its dry weight was an even more impressive-sounding 322 pounds, and thanks to an engine spec that was similar to the firm’s WSBK machines it achieved 215 hp. On the downside, it cost $78,000, could only be used on the track, and that exotic motor needed to be replaced every 5,000 kilometers, at a cost of around $20,000. That fun didn’t come cheap.
Fast-forward to 2020 and BMW’s basic, road-going S 1000 RR manages 205 hp, combined with normal service intervals and engine life, but in terms of weight its 434-pound mass is still significantly more than the HP4 Race. It’s safe to say BMW isn’t going to allow its latest-and-greatest superbike be overshadowed by a version of its predecessor for long, so a carbon fiber-framed lightweight derivative is sure to appear at some stage in the model’s life.
https://forum.smartcanucks.ca/{"defa...=f&l=f"}}© Provided by Cycle World Doing away with a conventional swingarm pivot, BMW’s patent shows a carbon fiber struction acting as the spring and support for the rear wheel. One element of the old HP4 Race that wasn’t carbon was its swingarm. While its closest rival at the time, Ducati’s 1299 Superleggera, used the material for its entire chassis, including the swingarm, BMW stuck to aluminium for the suspension. Now the firm’s latest patent suggests it’s not only planning to move to a carbon fiber swingarm but to do away with the conventional swingarm pivot altogether.
