Hey, today is the 1st day of winter & the shortest day of the year, so that means starting tomorrow, we will be getting more daylight as the days go by. WooHoo!

The topic of this poem is keeping.

Your dreams are yours to keep, as they solely belong to you,
& we know that keeping your chin up isn’t easy when you're feeling blue,
We all keep on truckin’ as best we can when life gets in the way,
As keeping up the good work, can mean more than words can say,
Sometimes we keep holding on, even when we should let go,
Maybe it’s because keepsakes are our very own to bestow,
At times I must keep busy as that is what floats my boat,
I’d tell you that I keep up the good work; but I wouldn’t want to gloat,
Keeping calm isn’t always easy; in fact I think that is a skill,
& often I ignore signs that say “Keep off the Grass” solely for thrill,
I will keep all of you posted as I have more issues with my health,
As I’m keeping my sense of humour, though it doesn’t bring wealth,
I have so much that I keep in my heart, as it helps me keep aligned,
& if you’re a sender of positive vibes, please keep me in mind,
I’d like to keep *it* at bay always & tell *it* to forever shoo!
& please all you Smart Canucks remember, I will keep on loving you!

OK got the bird, well birds actually, no big ones left, had to get two smaller ones.
Went to the Superstore, nailed jammies for the girls, so they will at least have something to open Christmas morning!
I also got a stack of clothes and a puzzle for the little one on my list!

Spent over $200 and got $35 worth of fresh salmon free, bonus!
Planking for dinner!

well i have an hour & 9 mins left of work & finished another book. you can tell it's not busy when you can read a whole book beofre the end of your shift. i imagine that Monday & Tuesday will be the same.

well here i sit, in the dark on a saturday night. the power went out about 45 mins ago. i had just finished cooking dinner & was eating it while reading a new book when, poof, out goes the lights. apparently all of Acton, Goergetown, Limehouse, Noval & Erin all all affected. was kind of wondering when it was going to happen. on the way home from work, the trees all along the road way were covered in ice. a couple of the branches were hanging so low, i was ducking my head in the van, like there was a possibility the branch was going to hit me. a lot of those branches were also hanging over hydro lines, so it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. hopefully it won't be off too long.
