Well good news & bad.
The guy who's suppose to shovel my snow has the flu, so some how I have to figure out how I can do it. We got about 4" and with freezing rain on the way, then more snow, I can't leave it.
My house is now down to 13 degrees.

Direct Energy called a few minutes ago, & said they'll come tonight. I'll be their last call, so it'll be around midnight. I guess I can hang in till then.
Can't believe I made it though the power failure, & my furnace dies 2 weeks later.

If you're a Roger's subscriber, Hollywood Suite is free with Rogers on Demand. You have many movies you can choose from. Last night I watched a movie from 1971. A not so Canadian Classic.... Face Off... Very weak performances & dull characters who were lacking in personality. But worth the watch for nostalgic purposes alone.

Maple Leaf Gardens looks downright impressive. (back when the Reds used to be the best seats!) Oh & that old Dominion Scoreboard. I love the opening scene of hockey on the frozen lake - so Canadian! The Waterbed Gallery & Molson's Export in a stubbie. Some faces who will be very familiar like:

- George Armstrong
- a very boyish looking Darryl Sittler
- Bobby Orr
- Bobby Hull
- Derek Sanderson
- Harold Ballard

I know I'm missing others.... Scott Young is seen, Austin Willis & John Vernon as the coach.

So sorry to hear about your furnace...any chance it might be your thermostat - have you tried resetting that...just sayin ...cause we had that happen not oo long ago and it was the thermostat and not furnace..
Can you contact your local church - they might have a roster of youth who volunteer...and they may shovel your snow....wish I was closer

So sorry to hear about your furnace...any chance it might be your thermostat - have you tried resetting that...just sayin ...cause we had that happen not oo long ago and it was the thermostat and not furnace..
Can you contact your local church - they might have a roster of youth who volunteer...and they may shovel your snow....wish I was closer

I was out shovelling & a couple of men from the neighbourhood took over & finished it for me. Asked them, & neither know of any teens around that could help.

It wasn't the thermostat. I had that go once in the old house, so it was the 1st thing I checked. It looks like there may be a problem with the actual motor. A friend came by & had a look. Even though the furnace's been off for well over 24 hrs., the motor was so hot, it burned him, even though he just barely touched it. I guess I'll find out tonight.

I spent awhile @ my next door neighbours, just to warm up, so now I'm going to curl up on the couch with my heating pad, a duvet & the electric heater. That should do me. Let's hope he can find the problem, and fix it, when he comes tonight.

In case I haven't said it lately, you know, you're all FANTASTIC !!!

To be safe you should pull the fuse/Open the breaker for your furnace until it's repaired
