I heard fireworks for hours and then I heard sirens down here on Queen all evening and most of the night.

We were driving home from a little getaway and were passing a very posh subdivision around 9:30 when suddenly a huge fireworks show started. We pulled over and it was so nice to see my teens still have a bit of wonder in their eyes while watching and ohhhing/ahhhing over them. It was almost choreographed, it was so varied and well timed, I am sure the person who owned this Mcmansion either paid to have to done or owns a firework company. I guess that is how the other half live-private fireworks shows!

Good Morning can’t say I got of relaxing done on the weekend but work done.We did manage to get my mom’s bedroom rebuilt then took her to PF Chang’s for a great dinner.And the Marlies swept another round and will start against Texas on Friday. Hope you all had a great long weekend.

Over the weekend, the doting owner of two young lab... mixes purchased Cocoa Mulch from Target to use in their garden. The dogs loved the way it smelled and it was advertised to keep cats away from their garden. Their dog (Calypso) decided the mulch smelled good enough to eat and devoured a large helping. She vomited a few times which was typical when she eats something new but wasn't acting lethargic in any way. The next day, Mom woke up and took Calypso out for her morning walk. Halfway through the walk, she had a seizure and died instantly.
Although the mulch had NO warnings printed on the label, upon further investigation on the company's web site,
This product is HIGHLY toxic to dogs and cats.
Cocoa Mulch is manufactured by Hershey's, and they claim that "It is true that studies have shown that 50% of the dogs that eat Cocoa Mulch can suffer physical harm to a variety of degrees (depending on each individual dog). However, 98% of all dogs won't eat it."

Cocoa Mulch, which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman's Garden Supply and other garden supply stores contains a lethal ingredient called 'Theobromine'. It is lethal to dogs and cats. It smells like chocolate and it really attracts dogs. They will ingest this stuff and die. Several deaths already occurred in the last 2-3 weeks.
Theobromine is in all chocolate, especially dark or baker's chocolate which is toxic to dogs. Cocoa bean shells contain potentially toxic quantities of theobromine, a xanthine compound similar in effects to caffeine and theophylline. A dog that ingested a lethal quantity of garden mulch made from cacao bean shells developed severe convulsions and died 17 hours later. Analysis of the stomach contents and the ingested cacao bean shells revealed the presence of lethal amounts of theobromine.

A little boy comes down to breakfast. Since they live on a farm, his mother asks if he had done his chores.
" Not yet, " said the little boy.

His mother tells him no breakfast until he does his chores.
Well, he's a little teed off, so he goes to feed the chickens, and he kicks a chicken. He goes to feed the cows, and he kicks a cow. He goes to feed the pigs, and he kicks a pig. He goes back in for breakfast and his mother gives him a bowl of dry cereal.

" How come I don't get any eggs and bacon and why don't I have any milk in my cereal ? " he asks.

" Well, " his mother says, " I saw you kick a chicken, so you don't get any eggs for a week. I saw you kick the pig, so you don't get any bacon for a week either. I saw you kick the cow so for a week you aren't getting any milk. "

Just then, his father comes down for breakfast and kicks the cat halfway across the kitchen.

The little boy looks up at his mother with a smile, and says,

" You gonna tell him or should I ? "

A frisky drunk who tried to get personal with a cash machine and a picnic table cooled off behind bars Friday night.
Police in Murfreesboro, Tenn., say Lonnie Hutton, 49, strutted into the Boro Bar and Grill, cozied up to the ATM, pulled down his pants and underwear and then attempted to have sexual intercourse with the machine.
According to wate.com, responding officers found Hutton, still nude from the waist down, walking around the bar, thrusting his hips in the air.
They took Hutton outside and told him to sit at a wooden picnic table.
The police report said he “exposed himself again and engaged in sexual intercourse with the wooden picnic table.”
Hutton was charged with public intoxication and booked into the Rutherford County jail on $250 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court July 1.

still waiting for spring to actually stay more than 1 or 2 days. a week of 20-25 degree temps would be nice start. i see that after the hay field cutting, the yellow flowers have managed to survive & flourish wonderfully. i'm hoping the weather will finally turn soon to have more sun than wet stuff.
