Good morning. Have a nice long weekend and a great thanksgiving.
Jester I will keep your thoughts in mind and if we can, we will start in San Francisco. When the family did in it 1970 I had a unique perspective. We were in something like a Vista Cruiser or Roadmaster and the back seats of the station wagon face the rear. So I guess I saw the view you saw, but on rewind!! As a 14year old all I wanted to see in San Francisco was the Haight-Ashbury district, and it broke my heart. By 1970 it looked like a slum, garbage everywhere, buildings boarded up, probably looks like Yorkville now.
Mechman – great picture I can see myself sitting on a dock on the bay.. having a few cold ones.

Heaven forbid Loocie that your sweetness was taken advantage of by the silver-tongued devil Stewy.
That womanizer has many a young innocent under his spell.
We could discuss this social menace over a margarita at my place...say about 7ish???
Leave your husband home, he'd much rather be watching hockey or baseball or some such thing I'm sure.

Mechman, your place looks divine. That is a very beautiful view & isn't it incredible that every single time you see the sun go down, while the moon takes over the night shift it is just as incredible as it was the very first time you noticed it?
At our cottage, it was always a tradition (a kinda daft one) that my big brother & a couple of the neighbour cottage boys went for a final ski of the season) I remember some shivering young gentlemen who were not too thrilled at going for a spill in the lake. Fun memories though! Coming in the cottage on a crisp & chilly afternoon smelling the turkey roasting & the table looking so festive. I never realized how much hard work it was for my Mother to get a huge dinner ready for us up there. Dad was always busy doing the man stuff. My Dad wasn't happy at the cottage unless he was busy or working on a project. Those memories, simple as they may be....are very special to me.

History gives perspective to what Brits have to complain about.........
Think things are bad? Think again. Here are 10 years from history when we really had something to complain about:
