BWW - congrats again on that win; it's nice they allowed you to extend your stay. after travelling so far, and to be in London, it would be nice to have the extra time to do some sight seeing. Enjoy !!

Ecat - that resort looks fantastic; Oh, for some sun, sand, & beach. Have a fantastic time, & maybe a 'Mud Slide' for me while you're there.

Well the Muttluks were a measured success.
Daisy blew one off in the parking lot before we got started.
After I put it back on, everything was good. They stayed on pretty well.

When we hit some icy trails in the woods, they were far to slippy and she kept trying to take them off.
Of course she is used to just rippin' it up.
So I took them off for her, before she had a bad experience. All in all a good start.
I think they will be great in the fresh snow when we go up north.
We will try them around the neighbourhood, should help protect her from the salt.

So, lots of happenings around here.

    - Nice win for BWW. You'll enjoy no matter how long you stay!
    - ECat going to Mexico. You sure are a travelling kind of gal.
    - psells is going for an adventure indeed. He mentioned it at our Q Lunch at the Lone Star. Good luck to him though!

As for me, I am not cleared for any travel just yet. The treatment will involve some overnight stays in the hospital. I can't say that I am looking forward to it, but I am looking forward to moving along with this. We had hoped to get away this winter, but I don't know if it will be a possibility. Sometimes I feel like this illness has taken over my entire life. I am glad that I am still able to call on my sense of humour to help me along....cause you see, I am feeling swamped & bewildered.

Q only gave us 2 nights in Scotland, but we were able to extend an extra 3 before the concert.... we should have extended after the concert though.... we didn't realize that the flights from Europe to North America left so early in the morning, so really, we didn't sleep much after the concert... I think we got back to the hotel at about 2 and had to leave for the airport by 5 (or something like that).... the cab driver that dropped us off after the show came back to pick us up again when he found out that we were leaving so soon... I agree BWW.... it was very nice of them to allow us to change the flights to allow us to extend the trip...

You need to be on FB HG!!

Congratulations all the recipients of new hearts!! Looks like there were lots while we were gone!!

St. Lucia was beautiful! We had such a fun time and met so many nice people that we hope to stay connected with - at least over FB.... The resort itself was "ok", but we knew booking that it was not a 5 star and we were not expecting a 5 star... it was priced appropriately.... The staff was very friendly - always saying "hello" or "good morning", etc and asking if things were good... The pools were beautiful and very well maintained.... The food was pretty good (not awesome), but we always had something to eat and never went hungry... they even went out of their way to feed us when we first arrived just after the lunch buffet closed and before the dinner buffet opened.... we told them that we had just arrived and asked if there was ANYTHING that we have for a snack to get us through until dinner time.... the chef brought out some burgers and made a big huge serving of spaghetti for us.... The rooms were "bungalow" style with 4 rooms to each building and the rooms were very tired... they were spacious and clean, but were in bad need of renovation... They were all run on solar panels and had very low voltage lighting, so it made it very hard to see when it was dark outside to apply make-up, etc... We also had an issue with the plumbing.... at 5:30 or 6:30 am, out of nowhere, our sink would start "gurgling"... apparently there was a blockage somewhere in our building and the air release was obviously not working, so it was making noises in our room... we complained, but it was not fixed... we were going to ask for a new room, but this room was close to everything and we were afraid that we were going to be stuck far, far away from everything... we found out a few days later that the resort was just purchased by new owners and they are tearing everything down to build a 4 story new resort, so I guess that's why they're not going to spend any money fixing it.... we had some ants in our room too, but they were very quick to come spray.... the bathtub was VERY slippery... I slipped and still have a HUGE bruise on my bum to remind me of it.... another Canadian slipped and fell in her bathtub but wasn't so lucky... she had a big shiner on her right eye and bumped the left side of her forehead... luckily, she didn't hit her eye directly and she did not have a concussion... We did a catamaran tour which was nice... saw the twin Pilons, did a tour of the volcano, did some snorkeling and saw the botanical gardens and the diamond water falls where Superman 2 and Romancing the stone were both filmed.... The weather was amazing and we spent most of our time at the pool bar

I tried to bring home some warmth and sunshine, but unfortunately it didn't happen - this time.... It looks like we picked a great week to be away.... It's been crazy busy for me since I've been home and I haven't downloaded any pics yet, but I will try to post some when I get a chance..

I hope everyone is enjoying their Psunday!!
