What a beautiful day today!! Still a little cool, but the sun was so nice... :)
I decided to start cleaning some windows this afternoon, but I only got 4 done in 4 hours!! :icon_scratch: Yes... they were a little dirty and took me longer than I thought it would. By the time I fought with the screens (and washed them), took out all the vinyl stoppers, etc., it was a HUGE job, and they were so dirty!! I think I changed the water twice for each window. I think I missed cleaning them last spring and it's amazing how much dirt and dust collects in those little grooves.... I was hoping to get at least all of the upstairs windows done today, but that didn't happen. I know what I'm doing again tomorrow.... :rolleyes:
I had a problem with the little thingy's that you pull out to get the screens out... some of them wouldn't budge and some literally broke right off. I decided not to put the screens back in after I got them out and cleaned them. I'm going to give the window company a call on Monday to see if the little pull out thingy's are covered under warranty... I know that the windows and the hardware for the windows are lifetime warranty, so I'm hoping that the screens are too...

a much better day out, sunny, warmer than the rest of this week has been. spent the morning cleaning the windows after the winter's grime to help prospective buyers see the spacious yard better, then spent the afternoon doing grocery shopping & other errands while the open house was happening. BBQed burgers for dinner & was going to settle down for the race, but it was rained out for tonight & postponed till 1pm Psunday.
Wow, Wolfie, are you ever lucky that you got out when you did. Sorry to hear about your co-workers. hopefully ther will find jobs elsewhere.
