Busy days around here, getting ready, trying to keep secrets from roommates who know the jig is up. The short one did something yesterday he hasn't done since he was a kitten.

Mr I-hiss-at-water didn't seem to notice that he got wet, he just sulked in that position for 20 minutes. Oh how I'm going to miss having critters to squish for a week!

I leave early tomorrow. Still have to get the critters out to my Mom today (& meet the new family member & get fed ). May or may not have a chance to post before I leave, so take care, everyone, and enjoy the rest of May! See you in June!

​Just some morning thoughts, cause I've been doing some reflecting,
Thinking of how things change, as we sit by unsuspecting,
Do you remember when “wicked” was nefarious & not so complementary?
Now if something is “wicked”, you have gained your point of entry?
How about when “thongs” were footwear that you wore to the beach?
Now on some they’re unflattering undergarments, but I won’t make a speech,
It used to be if you were “sick”, you needed to rest in bed,
Now if something is “sick”, it means totally elating instead,
If you were doing some b*tch-"n", you at least had someone to blame,
Now when you do some b*tch-"n", it’s a happy thing to proclaim,
It was frustrating if you “flip-flopped” cause you kept changing your views,
Now it’s “flip-flops” that we adorn, in the form of funky shoes,
I must say urban buzz words, of something I find amusing,
It’s just that I’m in a generation that does find some things confusing,
I know how to chillax & I’ve now learned how to dip,
& on sunny summer afternoons, I like to take a kip!
