Congratulations on winning your Culture Club tickets.
While 30 years ago I would have laughed at that, these days I don't "brand" music the way I used to. I'll bet if anyone goes to that concert, you would be tapping your toes, just because you are familiar with the song or it reminds you of something. Plus, that concert is free!
One of my favourite sayings is "Take two... they're free!"
30 years ago I had nice long hair. You know, Rock N Roll! 30 years later, my hair turned grey, and the rest of them fell out. So I am just happy to have some hair.
Besides, about 12 years ago, I saw Cyndi Lauper up at Casino Rama. They were free tickets and we enjoyed ourselves.
Okay folks, go ahead and make fun of me!

Thu, May 28th, 2015, 10:14 AM #126950Hick and Kenrod, thanks for the comments, and yes myself and my wife are big fans of Culture Club and Cyndi Lauper and many of the groups that came out of the 80's! I would take Genesis anyday of the week over some of the mediocre music coming out today! That's Genesis with Peter Gabriel and without!! All good! But I truly am a fan of the alternative 80's! Depeche Mode, whom I see everytime they come to town, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, INXS, etc. etc. You all get the picture, for me they don't make bands like that just as for many of you who are products of the 70's, they don't make bands like that, The Who, Saga, dare I say Rough Trade in this conversation, but I think even Carole Pope is awesome!
