And the festivals just keep on coming!
Friday night went to the Taste of Danforth festival.
Yesterday went to the Kitchener Blues Festival. What a great day of music!!! Johanna Pavia and Souldrive, Downchild Blues Band, Charlie Musselwhite, Popa Chubby and Mavis Staples - all put on great shows. Hadn't seen Charlie in person but he put on a great show - one of the great harmonica players - reminded me of Paul Butterfield! Fantastic. Bought two new Downchild CDs - they are so great!!!!
Back to the Danforth Fest today......
have a good one everyone!

Jays win 2 -0, sweeping the N.Y.Y. Only 1.5 back.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I found this a very nerve racking game.
The last 3 game sweep of the Yankees by the Jays, was in Sept. 1998 !!!

Political heads of parties heading out on the campaign trail,
Jabbing & poking their opponents in the style of verbal impale,
Yammering & yacking in monotonous endless dribble,
Finger pointing & kicking sand! Oh how they love to quibble!
The strategic quest in full swing, like a game of risk,
Slogans being swirled with a beguiling whisk,
Times have changed, & the game’s more high tech,
& they seem to take turns being on the poop deck,
Brian Mulroney who could ever forget him,
His gravelly voice & that protruding chin,
Jean Chretien was going to abolish the GST,
But that turned out to be another empty decree,
Politics is a business that’s downright tainted,
& with a single brush, they could all be painted,
Their attack ads & signs I wish they'd shove ‘em’,
Cause it sure is a business & it’s not about lovin’,
Who to support & who to believe,
From election rhetoric, I just need a reprieve.
What is going to happen to our wonderful country? I tell every young person I know to get out there & vote. Be counted & have a voice it should be a priority with every Canadian.........
Or.............Don't Complain.
