Good morning. Twice I have been on, in the last two days when the cash grab song came on, but could not think of the names. (Fly Away & Dream On). I’m really bad with song titles. I never listened to songs I listened to albums. I will keep trying as I don’t like taking and taking and not giving back. Every have a problem what you work on over and over and never seem to solve. I had been trying to get the cable signal to the stereo surround sound working for the last few weeks and it has been driving me crazy. I had the Blue Ray and DVD in surround sound and could not get the cable sound. I even started looking for stereo geeks in the internet. And if you know me you know I never call someone to fix something. I build the boat, rebuilt the boat engine, I work on my car, I built my computer and work on the house but can’t figure out a stereo. I was at wits end when I see a note saying setting a path for a signal. I do that and bang or maybe boom as I had the sound way to high. What a relief. How a silly little thing like that can bug you that much! Have a good day and good luck!
Congratulations – Hteam on 5,000 post, Wallie & Waynethegolfer on blue hearts, Argo53 & Andi on pick hearts.
Andi - I hope friend get well
Lee03 – condolences to your boss

I've been listening to the Norah Jones CDs I bought yesterday. I guess I needed some symmetry after last week's purchase. Norah did a duet with Willie Nelson of Baby It's Cold Outside, which my daughter described as a creepy date-rape song.
Also an amazing duet with Ray Charles, featuring some great organ work by Billy Preston.

Thanks, Wolfie. Here is a bit more - the magazine had asked the regular contributors to share some thoughts from 2001/09/11 and this was my bit...
Peter Sells
President, NivoNuvo Consulting Inc.
That Tuesday morning 10 years ago, we had a recruit class in their final weeks at the Toronto Fire Academy and a full house of several hundred in the auditorium for an arson seminar. I was speaking with the division commander when he took a phone call from the fire chief. He turned to me, told me that the WTC had been struck by two airplanes, the city was on full alert, and ordered me to secure the academy. I had my staff lock all the doors, but the building – as an eerie microcosm of western society – was far from secure or in reality far from securable.
Collectively, and without any awareness, we had allowed our love of our essential liberties to blind us to our lack of safety, temporary or otherwise. Perhaps Benjamin Franklin was wrong about that after all. A few dozen men spent a few thousand dollars and paralyzed the globe, changing the airline industry forever, wreaking havoc with markets and causing economic losses estimated as high as $2 trillion.
In the short term at least, this represents the most lopsided victory in the entire history of human conflict. Not to recognize that we were on the receiving end of mankind’s greatest ass-kicking, and not to react, respond and reorganize accordingly, would have been a disservice to the firefighters, police officers, flight attendants, financial analysts, dishwashers and janitors who died on the job that morning.

Listening to TSN Radio 1050 the Sydney Crosby Press Conference:
Per Dr Collins, Concussion Specialist, Syd is currently in reconditioning mode. Sydney is classified as a "Ferrari" of Hockey Players and as such getting him to NHL level again has been a challenge. The rehab goal is to achieve 100% testing activities without experiencing symptoms like foggyness, lightheadedness, headaches.
So where is Syd rehab now: He can work to 89% testing activity level but then he experiences symptoms again.
So unfortunately he is not clear yet, however the Specialists are optimistic about Syd's case but are not offering recovery timelines. Specialist prognosis they do not anticipate long term symptoms with his concussion.
Syd mentally is feeling good happy with last 3 weeks progress, he's positive but its a tough road. He's not thankfully thinking about retirement.
In press conference Q&A: Syd said he will LIKELY play in the 2011-2012 Season.
All the Best Sydney Crosby for a full recovery and your triumphant return!Last edited by arkflash; Wed, Sep 7th, 2011 at 01:23 PM. Reason: :)

My Memory of that Sad Day Still Haunts me, but for a Different Reason (even though many Aspects are tied together, one way or another).
At that time, I w*rked across from Air Canada (the other side of the 401).
For 3x days, the Skies were silent... no planes at all.
It was that Silence that Struck me to my Core (compounded with the Tragic Loss of Lives).
I still Remember the Tear that caressed my cheek and the little Yelp that I forced myself to contain in my throat...
when someone asked me if I was OK, I just pointed outside... *the planes are flying again* I whispered.Last edited by WolfDio; Wed, Sep 7th, 2011 at 01:31 PM. Reason: Typo
