My friend is still in emergency. My guess is they're leaving her there until they do surgery, cause they don't know what level of care she'll need & don't want to waste a bed. She's in good form, joking & smiling - gotta love the happy drugs. The bad news is that the bump on her bladder they discovered a month ago turned out to be a cancerous tumour. :( The pain is from the tumour getting larger & pressing on her kidney. The good news is that they're not rushing her into surgery, which is always a good sign (the sicker you are, the faster you go under the knife).

Please keep sending the prayers. If my friend no longer needs them, I'm sure she'll send em to someone else over there.

Better go feed the brats before I go hang out with the thespians. I just wish they had something a bit less depressing on right now. :-~

Tomorrow, the treat dispensers leave for Europe, so the critters will be skin and bones by the time they get back in 3 weeks (they're convinced all 3 of us will starve while they're gone). Yippee, I have 2 freezers full of food to tide me over til they get home. :P

I'm off to bed now, critters are already asleep.

School's Out

This is a true story, proving how fascinating the mind of a six year old is. They think so logically.








A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class.

She came to the part of the story where first pig was trying to gatherthe building materials for his home.

She read. 'And so the pig went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said: 'Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that straw to build my house?'

The teacher paused then asked the class: 'And what do you think the man said?'

One little boy raised his hand and said very matter-of-factly...

'I think the man would have said - 'Well, F#ck me!! A talking pig!'

The teacher had to leave the room.
