It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the passing away of a cinema legend, the star of “Cool Hand Luke,” “Airport,” and “Naked Gun,” George Kennedy at the end of 91. He passed away in his home in Boise, Idaho, leaving behind a legacy of over a hundred films and tv shows.
He was not only a great actor but also a proud serviceman who spent over 16 years in the US Army during WWII, to make sure we have our freedom today. His most notable moment during his acting career was him winning an Oscar for he movie “Cool Hand Luke,” which shaped the rest of his successful career.
Apart from the movies, he was also a frequent on tv shows including “Bonanza,” “Maverick,” “McHale’s Navy,” “Gunsmoke,” and “The Andy Griffith Show.” Watch one of the highlight moments of his career from Oscars where he was nominated and won the Best Supporting Actor Award.
