While his brother’s body lay inside a casket nearby, Doug Ford walked the long line of mourners outside City Hall Monday, shaking hands, smiling and posing for selfies with “Ford Nation” supporters.

The former councillor and one-time mayoral candidate’s behaviour didn’t sit well with everyone in attendance, however.

Some on social media even accused him of using Rob Ford’s death to bolster his own political brand.

What do you think? Should Doug have posed for “funeral selfies” at Monday’s memorial?



Myself I don't think he should be posing and smiling like that when his brother has just passed away and his body is close by - people want him to do it but he should just say sorry not at this time................but maybe he feels if they are members of "Ford Nation" he should I don't know...............but he could just do the selfie bit Wednesday night after the funeral.........

Is anyone surprised by the crass nature of the Ford family?? Even death shows what this family is about. Did they really need a "State" type funeral for an admitted drug user?? What is this going to cost Toronto taxpayers, worst of all a procession down Jarvis to Bloor tomorrow. So now they are going to close down Jarvis St. Again with major police presence this will cost the City/taxpayers quite a bit. With the wealth of the Ford family, will they be flipping the bill?? Probably not! I love that Doug Ford has already started campaigning for City Council, or for the National spotlight as an MP. Good riddance to this family, as I thought death would mature them!

BTW, Donald Trump has taken the Rob Ford page in running his campaign. Say anything and everything and some crap will stick and the uneducated will follow! The PIED PIPER!

I heard earlier that Patty Duke died this morning.
She was 69, and died from complications of an infection in the intestines.
I remember watching her show, and really like The Parent Trap, where she played both twin sisters.

Good afternoon, everyone. Hope the Easter bunny was good to everyone. Got back last night, but I've been busy trying to clean up the place (fur & hair everywhere!). My Mom is holding her own, but has really slowed down from a month ago. Of course, she still insisted on making all the Easter meals (fish & potato salad on Friday, ham, roast potatoes, devilled eggs, carrots, cucumber salad on Sat, langos - basically fried pizza dough rubbed with garlic - to go with leftovers on Sun, and pureed chestnuts with whipped cream for dessert). I did some of the cooking (yes, everyone survived ) and we had some friends over (I usually go to bff's on the Sun, but all the relatives were sick, so bff came over to join us each day). I'm off to see a play tonight (Judas Kiss) in a little while, once the brats are satisfied that I have spoiled them thoroughly. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
