Realtors Scramble to Close Deals Before 15% Tax Deadline in Vancouver
Toronto’s red-hot real estate market could get even hotter as foreign nationals looking to dodge a new 15 per cent tax on properties in Vancouver seek new places to invest, realtors say.
The tax, which takes effect today, was introduced by the British Columbia government with the intent of improving home affordability in Metro Vancouver, where house prices are among the highest in North America. But it has also given rise to concerns that it could exacerbate Toronto’s housing market.

The cold bursts of chocolate with a soft hint of vanilla between. A delight over a century old, and even more impressive is that it is still as liked today as it was back then.
The very taste of delight for summers, this is the celebration of Ice Cream Sandwich Day!

Good morning fellow Canucks!
Wow, it really feels like summer is passing by quickly. We have had plenty of good weather so there is no complaining from me. I'm really quite happy that our lawns are a write-off this year. I think the last time I mowed it was sometime in May. Just a few "Charlie Brown hairs" sticking out, but I'm not going to worry about that.
Well as usual, that long weekend felt really short, and I anticipate that this short week will feel long so we can cram 5 days worth of work into 4. That is the long and short of it.
Well folks, hope you all have a great week ahead!
This is a story of a man called Dan and his beloved dog, whom he loved with all his life, called Zanto. Dan went to Denmark with his dog, and that was the mistake he made. He was given eight days to prove that Zanto wasn’t one of the country’s banned breeds, but unfortunately Zanto was, but it wasn’t his fault. Zanto was a pit bull and in Denmark, a pit bull is a banned breed.
Eight days later the authorities forcefully took Zanto away from Dan and euthanized him. Dan was heartbroken and felt like he had failed his beloved dog. He loved Zanto so much that he couldn’t bear the pain of him not being around so Dan committed suicide through an overdose on pain medication.
