Hope everyone is doing well.

No change in my friend's condition (haven't heard anything new from her niece today, so no news is always good news), but I did have to check on her human charge (my friend is a caregiver to a relative). The family's going through a lot with another family member in hospital, so they're pretty stressed out (to put it mildly).

Please keep those prayers & good vibes coming. They are greatly appreciated.

& thanks for the nice words to me - a gal couldn't ask for nicer folks to hang out with.

Turns out my tech problems were a result of a broken modem issued by Bell. Problem seemed to be fixed, but I suspect I might have to have them back, since the internet is still wonky. At least I can connect with the fun world.

Better go see what I've missed.

Hello everyone. It's a rainy Friday night here in TO East, hope the temp stays up and it doesn't turn into anything nasty.
Had a rather busy week, took a good friend of mine to the hospital last weekend when he was complaining of a "weird feeling" in his chest. Turns out he'd had a minor heart attack, so I was visiting him in the evenings. Doctor's say he needs a "lifestyle change". I think what they mean is that we're getting older and can't party as hard anymore.
Had a lot to catch up on here - you really are a chatty group!
And, a special hello to Fumius1 - glad to hear the procedure was only minor. Could make a nasty comment here, but I wouldn't want to make you laugh and rip out your stitches. Get better soon, my friend.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts today. My anesthetic induced headache (hangover) is gone. Unfortunately I will have to work Saturday to catch up for the 2 days I have missed. Who needs to win prizes when we all have won wonderful friends of this forum. (Well Ok a prize would be nice, but nobody wins on here anyway!!)

Teenage Head was a fun band to see! I enjoyed their stuff back in the day. I think they did very well for a band started in high school in Hamilton who didn't even know each other at the time! I don't look at them as punk more a local rock band! I'm sorry Frankie Venom passed away in 2008 he was a big part of them, I like his voice! He passed away at 51 from throat cancer Does anyone know how the new singer sounds now? I'll bet they still do it well, I may check them out at the S.A.

As Mechman mentioned - the old Knobie was rocking when they played (as well as a bunch of other bands!!!)

Sportsnet's Damien Cox has confirmed that the Toronto Maple Leafs have fired head coach Ron Wilson.

Former head coach of the Anaheim Ducks, Randy Carlyle, will replace Wilson.

Fans called for Wilson's firing earlier this week after the Leafs lost their fifth game in a row, falling further away from a playoff spot.

Anger against Wilson started with chants of "fire Wilson" in the third period of Tuesday's game at the Air Canada Centre. It then spread on Twitter with hashtag #firewilson, trending worldwide.

On Monday, Leafs GM Brian Burke said he was not interested in making a coaching change.

The move came just weeks from the end of Wilson's fourth season in Toronto. His contract had been extended in December.

Wilson compiled a 130-135-45 record with the Leafs and leaves the team sitting fourth on the NHL's all-time list for games coached.

Hi All!! My daughter and her best friend made home made personalized pizza for dinner tonight!! What a nice treat on a friday night!! Usually it's me racing home trying to throw something quick together.... When my daughter said that she was coming home from school this week-end and that she would be home Friday night for dinner, I suggested that she make dinner for us.... What a nice treat!!! Each of us put our own topping on our pizzas and we had our own personalized pizza dinner!! I think I need to suggest this more often!

oh... and yes... she was stretching her neck a few minutes ago after dinner..... (I guess she had a tough week in front of the computer this week... ) Those neck exercises sure do help Wolfie!!! thanks again!!! and my daughter thanks you too!!!
