I started on our basement washroom yesterday Lee.
The contractor I hired 5 years ago to finish the basement hired a moron to mud it.
Managed to get it sanded and primed yesterday.

Trying to patch and smooth it out today.
First time I have used Drydex spackling, starts pink dries white.
Kinda cool, just waiting for the pink to disappear so I can sand it again.

I'm so glad that you posted this mechman... I went to putty this morning and the lid was slightly off, so my putty was hard.... I picked up a tub of Drydex at Home Depot and it worked great!! consitancy was good, it dried fast and sanded really well... We were able to get the walls prepped (filled and sanded), the ceiling painted and a coat of primer on our bedroom walls today... hubby is eager to get the painting done this week after work, but I don't think it's going to happen... I'll be too busy at work this week... I'm aiming for 2 coats of paint Friday and the trim finished Saturday.... we'll see....

I am so happy it is a short week coming up......
We will be busy with Passover and Easter beginning the same day....

My bubbie used to make it sweet, European/Polish style.
Very different from my grandma in Montreal.

I am using my playbook. It doesn't capitalize when you hold a letter like a BlackBerry does.
I am still learning how it works
