Did anyone else catch the comments from Dom Diamond about his review of the Dylan show? He agreed 100% with all the media slagging of the once great troubador. It is a sad reality that there is a time when performers should acknowledge their ability to sing has finally departed - that, unfortunately was quite some time ago for Mr Zimmerman.
I didn't catch any other references on here and I'm guessing no-one went to the show from our group. Perhaps the evening was salvaged by an amazing performance by Mark Knoffler - at least the droves that left early had that to take home with them.

Yeah I heard DD take on the show. If you're just going to half heartedly go through the motions then why bother? I also heard Kim opinion that if you're going out on tour you owe it to fans to play the hits, or at least some of them.

ESC - song reminded me of Billy Joel - My Life, but I don't think that's it.

Mr. Zimmerman and, Mr. Springsteen for that matter should stick to what they are good at - pure writing brilliance - and, leave the singing to others.....but, that's just my opinion!!!
Kim Mitchell said Mark Knopfler came out and told the fans something like - Don't expect to hear the hits - I'm not gonna play them....and, Kim said that's okay for the UBER fans who know all his stuff but, unfair to those who came paid to hear the hits....which is something Kim would never do to his fans (my 17 year old saw Kim 3 years ago and, he still says it is one of his fave concerts).

    Have a great weekend everyone.
I'm guessing the ESC song is Weeping Widow by April Wine.

    Heard the Comments too.
Several Years Ago, The Wife and I were heading Up North for a Weekend and the Q was Simulcasting a Dylan Concert (when in T.O.?).
We had to turn off the Radio, it was sooo Bad!!

I Entered the Draw for this Past Concert to see Mark Knopfler, Personally.

When you hear the sleigh bells ring do you really listen?
Do you have a special friend who will welcome some mistletoe kissin’?

If you deck the halls does it have to be with Holly?
& have you ever considered asking her sister Molly?
Do you think We Need a Little Christmas to brighten a display?
When you hear those Jingle Bells does it take you all the way?
How does Frosty the Snowman manage to keep so sparkly clean?
& when you do the Jingle Bell Rock do you cause a scene?
Do you really think it is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year?
& doesn’t I’ll Be Home For Christmas drum up just a little tear?
Isn’t it always nice when we are Home For The Holidays?
Do you like Here Comes Suzy Snowflake as sung by Rosemary Clooney?
& does I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas drive you just a little loony?
Have you ever spent Christmas in Killarney or far away from your kin?
& don’t you love White Christmas as composed by Irving Berlin?
Are you a fan of the Christmas crooners like Nat King Cole & Bing?
& just what is your special song that makes you want to sing?

The season will be welcomed by many this weekend at our spectacular Santa Claus Parade. It is also time for us to be on our best behaviour as we all know that Santa & his helpers have already started their yearly review....

A little bit naughty is nice,
Egg Nog is best with spice,
Christmas Sweaters are not on everyone's list,
Festive gatherings can include Irish Mist,
I may be the only one who likes Christmas Cake,
& I do think cookies are sure worth the bake,
To the people who have their gifts bought & wrapped,
You won't be shopping while your energy is zapped,
More Christmas rhymes from me will be pending,
Cause Loocie's prose seems to be never ending.
