I can use some prayers and a miracle or two. Last evening my Dad called to tease me that he could hear the brats crying for food all he way to Scarboro from downtown (his usual teasing), an hour later he was in ICU, with massive bleeding. Drs think it's stomach cancer, he's not stable enough to do any testing. I'll be MIA until things get settled. I'm really really freaked out right now, got a good friend staying with me and my Mom. Can't understand how things went south so very quickly. Will be in touch.

So sorry to hear about your dad Andi, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your dad and family. I know what you mean things change in a flash it happened to my dad also. All the Best. Positive energy!!!

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes. Still celebrating today is the big day. Made myself a BETTER THAN SEX CAKE. Is it ever yummy but no way better than sex. It's a recipe from my mom's friend Oonah, she's the one who named it that not me. Just sayin'. I had to have a tester taste. To hard to resist.

Must have been neat last night Mechman - how has the place changed? Did they play for a good 1 1/2 hrs or more? Felt bad to miss it but we had our last jitney today and then dinner afterwards so I didn't want to be out real late and not be able to sleep (I'm sure the music would have continued going through my head all night!) Now I find out the afternoon has been cancelled because of the rain!!! Darm!! Still going down for the dinner - which is quite good - if you signed up you still have to pay. As it was I went to Nuit Blanche and got in about 12:30 a.m. wow the amount of people that go is crazy.....

I sure hope Goddo plays again at some point - did they do a good job - Greg is looking older but I guess we all are! Is he still living in Calgary?

Yes Greg is still living in Calgary.
He was very talkative on stage between songs, (Old boys need a rest)
Said he was happy to be back in his hometown.
Said it wasn't like the old Knobby, there was no urine in the sinks, at least not yet.
Played a mix of songs, including my fav "Under My Hat"
Their original drummer Marty Morin joined them on percussion, it was a great vibe.

Very eclectic crowd, more so than the Sound Academy.
Recognized a few characters from those shows in attendance.

As for the venue, the old bathroom signs are still intact.

GODDO’s 35th Anniversary Reunion Concert film “The Pretty Bad Boys Return” screened last Wednesday at the Royal Theatre here in TO.


I think we will be seeing them here again soon.

I just read that Goddo will play the Rockpile East, New Years Eve!
