Trying to Forget this STUPID Contest!!!!

Me too Wolfie. It's driving me crazy. It's the amount of money that's on the line that keeps me going. Could really use it. So I know on Tuesday I'll be trying again. Silly me.

Smart Canucks is like the Hotel California song, in one key way I believe,
You can sign in & out or come as a guest, but you never really leave,
We’ve got hearts & stars & gifts & rep that could fill any cereal box,
& we all keep coming back here, cause this place really rocks,
Some of us find Smart Canucks a good place to come & vent,
& don’t you think the time you’re on here, is time that is well spent?
If you try to explain this place to outsiders, it's so hard to describe,
How can you even begin to define such a unique tribe?
Some see our interactions here as nonsensical gobbledygook,
But we all know that those views are wrong, as we are in the loop,
I will admit that sometimes we may post things that do not matter,
But don’t you find it kind of fun to engage in chitter-chatter?
You can come here when you have a case of the blahs,
& we’ll be there for you even with all our flaws,
I think we all know that camaraderie seems to be the key,
& see you all very soon at our upcoming jamboree.

Personally I BLAME anyone with an asinine guess, for tying up the fone lines when those who know are being told "Let Bell call you back after the contest has been over for half an hour and we can charge you for your trouble"

I agree also Jester!! Stop wasting our time. And those that reguess a same song, without looking at the wrong answers DUH!!! What's that about????????????

Best Q show EVER!

I saw Colin James in the mid 80's at a Country Club In Ajax, Whitby, or Pickering . Can't remember the name of the place. Great show though. What an amazing musician he is. I even got his guitar pick. When Colin through it into the audience it bounced off the head of the guy in front of me and landed at my feet. Everyone looked down and was looking for the pick. I calmly moved my foot over it. And told my boyfriend I had the pick under my foot. After everyone stopped looking I picked up and put in my pocket. I still have it.

H team and I are going to see him November 22nd in Mississauga .... so looking forward to the show... Living Arts Centre is a great venue.... I'm still trying to win "Birthday Bash" tickets on Rock 95 in Barrie for their "Birthday Bash" but it's hard to get reception (to know when to call in)

afternoon Q sters,
typing you from McGreger's Point in Port Elgin.
weather has been simply marvelous. sunny & warm during the day & very cool at night. had a big bonfire last night & rodent & my niece were roasting mellows. the yurt is really nice & clean & there's a heater inside to warm things up. just finished cooking hamburgers & hotdogs for today's lunch. last night we did deep fried turkey, roasted taters, squash, carrots & beens. rodent made an apple crisp for dessert. tonight is lasagna, shrimp cocktail & pumpkin tarts. we'll all go out to the point to look around at the sites for next year, before dinner.

all the young dudes sounds like a winner. we'll just have to see come Tuesday. good luck.

I am new here but have totally been following this forum a few times in the past! This clip is driving me nuts!!
Ozcam I think you are on to something here with this song but i am just not hearing it in the song, I feel like the entire song as vocals and other instruments in the background. But the sound of the guitar definitely feels right!

My boyfriend and I originally thought the song was What is Life- George Harrison but with all of the clues now and listening more closely we see that it is not

I tried calling in last week and got through twice on the same time- was bummed out to be caller 67 and then 95. But hey at least i know it is possible to get through!!

Anyone thinking now that the song is unrelated to Bowie with these clues??
