I came by this thread to read the linked post heartgirl gave regarding the passing of andi's dad.... and then I kept reading the pages following with the comments....

and I cried.... and cried.... not just because of the sadness of those of you sharing about people gone from your lives, and me thinking of the passing of my parents many years ago, but I think my tears came mostly from the beauty of the kindnesses you SC-family members share from one another with your supportive and caring comments.

You are indeed a very special group of wonderful SCers!

Got a shuttle ride home, & within 5 min. had a call. Tie rod is broken; another $100. +
So now up to almost $400. Really don't need this bill, esp. @ this time of year.

It's a crappy time of year for the extra pay out, but it's a good thing your mechanic found it and fixed it... it would have been a lot worse if you were stuck at the side of the road....

Got a few errands planned for later, daughter has agreed to be my chauffeur again.
Very exciting; Bank, Vet, and the LCBO to start my Christmas Shopping, maybe Home Hardware if I am not too tired.
OK I am bored already...

Pot luck lunch at work tomorrow, now that should be good.
We are a small group; 16 people, but great diversity, so the food should be fantastic!
Note to self: Self, take lots of tupperware and play the sympathy card, for lots of leftovers
