Good morning.. Good weekend, lots done at Mom's and hung out with her best pal, she is really feeling the loss of my Mom... its really like loosing a spouse you really love...they've been friends since high school

The label the sense of loss is so true. You feel it like it is one of your senses. It must be because the feeling gets interwinted with your identity. You feel the loss in moments of memory when you just wish it wasn't so. The good part of the feeling is when the memories can make you laugh. The bond, the connection & the admiration are still there & it's just that missing someone is a solitary experience.

Timing is everything! A Florida State Trooper was patrolling late at night off the main highway. At nearly midnight, he sees a couple in a car, in lovers' lane, with the interior light brightly glowing. He carefully approaches the car to get a closer look. Then he sees a young man behind the wheel, reading a magazine.
He immediately notices a young woman in the rear seat, filing her fingernails.
Puzzled by this surprising situation, the trooper walks to the car and gently raps on the driver's wi...ndow. The young man lowers his window. 'Uh, yes, Officer'?
The trooper asks: 'What are you doing?'
The young man says: 'Well, Officer, I'm reading a magazine.'
Pointing towards the young woman in the back seat the trooper says: 'And, her, what is she doing?'
The young man shrugs: 'Sir, I believe she's filing her fingernails.'
Now, the trooper is totally confused. A young couple, alone, in a car, at night in a lover's lane and nothing obscene is happening!
The trooper asks: 'What's your age, young man?'
The young man says: 'I'm 22, sir.'
The trooper asks: 'And her, what's her age?'
The young man looks at his watch and replies: 'She'll be 18 in 11 minutes.'

Thank you Loocie, it is so profound a feeling..that it chokes me.. things are so bad..even my sister and I are at odds for neither of us know how or what to feel, but at least we have eachother and our other siblings, My Moms pal,, her children are far and very busy.. she is suffering badly =(

morning Q sters,
it's a sunny, but cold day out. a few more days & the weather will turn around. can't wait.
rodent had another death in her family. her momma hamster, Penny, passed away around 2:30am this morning. it wasn't a total shock or unexpected, like her daughter, Nutmeg, but tramatic just the same. she was around 2 1/2 years old, which is the average life expectancy of a hamster. Penny was looking a little off yesterday & when you picked her up, she felt very cold, which was not like her at all. we wrapped her up in an old towel to keep her as warm as possible & she stayed on Rodent's lap most of the day & night. she didn't seem to suffer & she wasn't making any squeaking noises to say she was in pain, she just lifted her head around for a bit, gave that final breath & went to hamster heaven. she is not with her daughter & i'm sure they are very happy now.

Rest in Peace Penny 03/24/14
