That is what we use and it is ok but on the very snowy or rainy days I find it cuts in and out, which would be fine but those tend to be the days we stay indoors and hibernate which of course equals internet use. I must say it has been a little better in the last 3 months or so-glad you found an alternative...and no, I did not get a phone book int he mailbox, weird!
