I hope this finds you all content & happy. I have thought about you all & I’m just checking in. Said our final goodbyes to my s-i-l.
I am feeling very lost right now. One of the stages of grieving – no need to analyze as I sure get it. The reality that Sue is really gone hurts & seems to be swirling around in my heart at the moment.
My Princess Margaret appointment went well on Tuesday. My blood work was very good & my bp is stable. I don’t know if this makes sense, but I get a sense of satisfaction & even joy conversing with Le Club PMH. We all have a story & we all have a family & we are all individuals who share a common cause first & foremost.
I adore my doc, she is first class & so accommodating with all my questions.
My Tuesday ritual at Princess Margaret – I would rather have a Tuesday ritual of wings & beer at the pub…..but I have an unwanted intruder that I am taking care of at the moment.
Thank you all for your uplifting words of support. They truly inspire me. We all have events in our lives that we have to work through & loss is one of the rotten ones that are on that list.
When I was at the hospital the other day, people were literally spilling out into the hallways & corridors because the seating in the waiting room was jammed. Isn't that a shame that a seat in the waiting area of the blood lab is at a premium. May all of the 200 plus types of cancer & 50 or so types of sarcoma…. Go the Hell!
As Sparty would say….”peace & love”

It’s been a few weeks since we went to Heart and Jason Bonham. Finally have gone thought the pictures and picked some out. I guess I was spurred on by need to clear things up before Queen this Sunday. Don’t expect many good pictures from the Queen show because we are at the back, because I did not know what they will be like with Adam Lambert. Though I did same the same with Paul Rogers and that was a great show, not Freddie but a great show. Hope you like the Heart pictures.

Loocie - glad to hear your good results, but again so sorry about you friend and SIL Sue. Some times life is just way too quick, especially for those one in a million that have a special place in your heart.

Oh how things have changed!
*EATING IN THE FIFTIES*
Pasta was not eaten in Australia.
Curry was a surname.
A takeaway was a mathematical problem.
A pizza was something to do with a leaning tower.
All potato chips were plain; the only choice we had was whether
to put the salt on or not.
Rice was only eaten as a milk pudding.
A Big Mac was what we wore when it was raining.
Brown bread was something only poor people ate.
Oil was for lubricating, fat was for cooking.
Tea was made in a teapot using tea leaves and never green.
Sugar enjoyed a good press in those days, and was regarded
as being white gold. Cubed sugar was regarded as posh.
Fish didn't have fingers in those days.
Eating raw fish was called poverty, not sushi.
None of us had ever heard of yoghurt.
Healthy food consisted of anything edible.
People who didn't peel potatoes were regarded as lazy.
Indian restaurants were only found in India.
Cooking outside was called camping.
Seaweed was not a recognised food.
"Kebab" was not even a word, never mind a food.
Prunes were medicinal.
Surprisingly, muesli was readily available, it was called cattle feed.
Water came out of the tap. If someone had suggested bottling it and
charging more than petrol for it they would have become a laughing stock!!
*The one thing that we never ever had on our table in the fifties ..... Elbows!*
