I think the guests have brought guests of their own & I hope they also brought along some lawn chairs,
I was wondering who all those people were, they were even sitting down on the stairs,
The guests are here & the guests are there,
I’m bumping into them most everywhere,
I saw one of them swinging from a tree,
& another guy sporting a sporty goatee,
Another guest wearing a tie dyed shirt,
& a handsome guest who was a bit of a flirt,
One guest said our party was smashing!
& there were several guests in the fountain splashing,
Guests who come & guests, who go,
Guests who holler “look out below!”
Guests who are twittering & guests, who are glittering!
Guests who are polite & they do no littering,
Guests in the garden & guests on the deck,
One of the guests dressed like Spock from Star Trek!
Guests who were friendly & guests, who were pooped,
Some of those guests even seem a bit looped,
How do we keep all our guests amused & content?
& are the guests here for a special event?
Perhaps some of our guests who like to join our tribe,
We’re an ok bunch, when you get used to our vibe,
It matters not if you’re married or single,
Come on in & feel free to mingle.....

all ready for a short work week

Good morning, everyone.

Got home yesterday, but too many fun things to do and didn't get a chance to go online. We had a party for my 2 neighbours - a combo b-day/going-away party (one gal is being relocated ). Good food, great company, and a bit of competition when the board games came out.

Lily dog and I spent an hour outside this morning, waiting to spy on neighbours who were still asleep in their beds. We were enjoying the morning, the silence broken only by a few birds chirping. Lily dog was half dozing in my lap, when she perked up, very confused. Someone was walking down the street carrying a canoe. I swear Toronto's the only metropolis where these things are not too out of the ordinary.

Suitcase is mostly packed, still have to get the travel docs in order in the next day or so, then I'll be ready for vacation. 5 days and counting. Can't wait!

Another big excitement - my friend bought my Mom a new fish. Haven't met the littlest critter yet (I'm heading over there Friday when we drop the brats off for their vacation), but he apparently is slowly getting used to his new digs (he was a bit overwhelmed yesterday when he started exploring his new home and hid in the corner).

Off to squish the critters. I don't know what I'm going to do without them for a week!

Happy Victoria Day Q sters.
Another awesome day. Got the weed whacking done, fixed a couple of sections of lattice that didn't quite make it thru the winter. This will also keep the critters out from under my deck. Put plugs in the chev, hoping it would cure a lack of power problem. Rodent camp home from work, saying she had this issue on the way home, unfortunately it cure the problem. It seems to be a plugged converter. Oh joy. Finished off the day by putting up the wainscoting on the other side of the family room, now it all done except the upper rail. I'll be glad to go to work for a break.
Glad you were able to take a well deserved break, Loocie. I also have a Dyson & it works really well, with 3 furballs.

I hope everyone had an amazing week-end... Mine was very busy getting "things" done up north...

Saturday was a little cool throughout the day, but the evening turned out to be quite nice and the sunset was magnificent!! Yesterday and today were HOT and sunny!!

4 more sleeps until I'm back up there again!! I hope this week goes fast!!!
