Pride Toronto Vows to Continue Despite Threats

Police are aware of a possible threat from Daesh supporters against the Toronto Pride parade circulating online, but organizers said the event will continue as planned. Dalhousie University professor Amarnath Amarasingam tweeted a post Tuesday, discovered on an online jihadi channel, depicting a gun, information about the parade’s time and location, and a note saying: “The Toronto Gay Pride Parade is an excellent target. Plenty of kafir sodomites to kill.” Pride Toronto organizers will meet with Toronto Police at noon today to discuss more security plans.

Orlando Nightclub Shooter's Wife Knew of Attack, Could Face Charges

The wife of the gunman who killed 49 people at an Orlando gay nightclub knew of his plans before the attack and could soon be charged in connection with the deadliest mass killing by a single shooter in U.S. history. Sources say a charge could come down today.

Police and firefighters were called in after a heated discussion over the shape of the Earth reached fiery levels in eastern Ontario.
Police in Brockville say they were called to St. Lawrence Park on Monday after an intense argument between family members.
They say a woman who insisted the Earth was flat was locking horns with her boyfriend’s father, who argued it is round.
Investigators say the 56-year-old man grew so enraged that he started throwing things into their camp fire, including a propane cylinder.
Firefighters were called to put out the flames.
Police say the man took off and will face a mischief charge.
They say “neither party would change their views.”
