Sorry Madchives, but gender neutral has nothing to do with why I made my comment. It's along the same lines as Kenrod. Government waste of taxpayer funds. In my opinion, there are far greater issues to deal with, that require the money than changing the National Anthem. Fort McMurray fire for example.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and the Euro Cup! Jester, England pulled a rabbit out of the hat today!
HT, congrats to your niece! You truly are a proud Aunt! She will have a great future!
My two cents on the word change on our National Anthem, I am not too bothered by it as the MP(Belanger) has been a long running MP for Vanier and in his case he wants to leave some form of legacy before his imminent death. We all can ridicule but none of us have been public figures. He may or may not last till Fall session and thus leaving something behind. Fort McMurray has already been monetarily supported by the Federal Government and us and unfortunately they will be off for summer sessions shortly, so the few things left on the docket including Assisted Death are the pressing things.
In some ways we all want to have a legacy. I am all for it because at the end of the day one word makes no difference unless you remove the word GOD and then all Hell breaks loose, just ask Harper(the Devil himself)!
Feeling unknown and you're all alone, flesh and bones by the telephone,
lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer!
Take second best, put me to the test, things on your chest, you need to confess!
I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver!

Gynecologist's Assistant:
A retired man went into the Job Center in downtown Toronto and saw a card advertising for a Gynecologist's Assistant.Interested, he went in and asked the clerk for details. The clerk pulled up the file and read; "The job entails getting the ladies ready for the gynecologist. You have to help the women out of their underwear, lay them down and carefully wash their private regions, then apply shaving foam and gently shave off the hair, then rub in soothing oils so they're ready for the gynecologist's examination.
The annual salary is $65,000, and if you are interested you'll have to go to Sudbury, Ontario."
"Good grief", the man asked, "Is that where the job is?"
"No sir . . . that's where the end of the line is right now.

In the '60's there were many who graduated university with students - some who cum loudly; but I may have strayed off topic!

I was so glad that the manager finally got his head on straight and put in Vardy and Sturridge -who both scored goals in the second half. I'm not a major Sturridge fan; but Jamie Vardy is the hero from my home town league winning team (Leicester). I love seeing little Iceland doing well against the big guns.

(Genesis 1:28) . . .God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth. . .
No individual has any control over what country he/she is born in.
The pictures from the moon of the earth show no borders.
Countries and their anthems only serve to divide people.
I'm a citizen of planet earth.
I just happen to have been born in this fiefdom.@

In this perfectly timed (and perfectly placed) photo we see a rainbow that seems to perfectly arch over Mount Vesuvius. The photo was posted last month to reddit by user -yenn-.
Mount Vesuvius is a stratovolcano in the Gulf of Naples, Italy, about 9 km (5.6 mi) east of Naples and a short distance from the shore.
Vesuvius is best known for its eruption in AD 79 that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, and several other settlements. That eruption ejected a cloud of stones, ash, and fumes to a height of 33 km (20.5 mi), spewing molten rock and pumice at a rate of 1.5 million tons per second. It ultimately released a hundred thousand times the thermal energy unleashed by the Hiroshima bombing. [source]
Vesuvius has erupted many times since and is the only volcano on European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years. Today it’s regarded as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world because of the population of 3 million people living nearby, making it the most densely populated volcanic region in the world.
