started a thread about this perhaps someone knows more.
had to send the best kitty off to i hope a better place last night.
besides getting wimpy - i wondered about how the vet handled this.
after the sleepy needle, he shaved (with a loud shaver to find a spot)

sorry to be so direct, but i kind of don't remember with other kittys
- i had not thought about how this would happen with miss lilly, and then,,

I think they do that to ensure that they are able to get the needle in accurately. You wouldn't want them to miss. The vet did that with our dog too. I'm sorry for your loss.

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. Sorry for your loss MC.
My vet didn't shave when my kitty passed last year, but each vet may have their preferred method or this may be the new method as Loocie said to ensure they get it in the right spot. Either way, it's stressful & sad. She's in a better place & no longer sick.

Good morning my Q friends. Happy Labour Day long weekend. I had a AWESOME time yesterday at Hanlans Point on Toronto Island watching the Air Show.The weather was perfect sunny but there was a nice breeze off the lake. The beers weren't too bad also. Got some amazing pics will post them later. I have friends coming over today for Sunday sports day. I may also go up on the roof of my building and watch some of the Air Show from there. Have a Happy Psychedelic Psunday.
