I hope this is an o.k. post - a question not really a freebie . . .
I recently joined mypoints.com and found a link for worldwinner.com I have fun playing the games and am wondering if anyone here has actually ever signed up for this? Is it legit?
Thanks so much for any info. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I have been using mypoints for a few years...have never shopped through the site...all I do is the emails and surverys ..I have received about 5 gc's...it takes some time to save up the points but I enjoy the site as they often have good contests, however my 2nd to last gc did not arrive and they credited my account back with the points and emailed me that the gc was most likely returned by the postal company and that any future gc's I order that do not arrive...my account will not be credited and that I should use a different address.
I emailed them back and said I had since recieved a pier1 gc and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my mailing address...but now I am afraid to order another gc and have it sent here.

years ago i played on worldwinner. i can't say what it's like now, but back then you had to pay to win anything and because it's an american site, you had to fill out some sort of tax form before they'd send you any money at all. i really liked the games, but it's not worth it if you want to actually win something from it.

i like mypoints but it takes me forever to get points, since I don't normally buy things thru the site, so I just click thru and save up! This is the first I've hear of worldwinner, I'll check it out!

I've been a member of mypoints for several years and cashed out for several gift cards (eg. starbucks $15 - 25 x 3). They are actually in USD which means you get a little bit more! And of course you can use them in Canada.
It's even better now if you are a bzzz agent because you get 50 points per bzzz report.
I've also bought stuff through their links - they have lots of vendors and you get credited soon.
If anyone wants to join, PM me for a referral. If you answer some surveys and join some newsletters, you also get more points. I would use a crappy email address to sign up. Everyso often, they send you a mypoints newsletter and if you click on it, you get 5-10 points.
Sorry, don't know anything about worldwinner.

worldwinner is great. Ive signed up through another site that offers $1 for playing first 5 free practice games and $20 for first time deposit, plus worldwinner doubled my initial deposit amount as a signup bonus (in the form of non-cashable credit of course). As I won I cashed out my winnings to paypal so in the end I ended up making about $40USD (including cashback) but that was cuz i only played 1 type of game and practiced enough to get quite good at it compared to rest of the beginner gamers they matched me with. Every now and then after a period of account inactivity they also give you $5 in credit to play. Each time I get about $1 to $2 in net winning that I can cash to my paypal account.
One thing I hate about worldwinner though, is the fact that they tax about 30% of your winning, so say if you win $5, after entry fee for the game and taxes they withhold, you gain about $2.
If you prefer not to play for money you can still play unlimited practice rounds for free. But you'd probably find similar games on yahoo.com for free also.Last edited by daphne010180; Sun, Apr 5th, 2009 at 02:52 PM.

the thing I hate about mypoints is how long it takes for the points to clear to your account. Ive had almost 300 points sitting in pending for a month..I want my Starbucks GC already dangit!! lol This will be my third $10 GC and I've only been a member about a year or so, so points add up really quickly and I never buy anything through them at all.

I am a member of mypoints but not worldwinner. The first day that I signed up on mypoints I won a Progressive points jackpot of like 30,000 points, so needless to say I enjoy this site. Plus you earn points thru bzzagent.com as well

Regarding GCs....I once ordered a Sears one, and on the back it said that it was only good in the US.
I had to mail it back to them as they said just some were valid in Canada...I ordered an Old Navy and it was fine.
Does a list of GCs valid in Canada exist anywhere?
