Mom and Daughter coupon day. She has never gone with me and I wanted to show her some good deals
Went to walmart and pricematched the 38 load tide to canadian tire. I got 2 (really needed more detergent like a hole in the head but it was too good a deal to pass up) and I talked her into 4. Reg $6.97, pricematched to $4.59 minus $5 wub 2 = $2.09 a bottle !
6 packs of travel sized olay facial clothes 4 for me and 2 for my mom. $2 each less $5 wub 2 coupon = +$3 to the basket
Windex bogo coupon $3 each my mom got 2 so $1.50 each
Palmolive $1.77 each x 2 - $1 coupon wub 2 = $1.27 each
Intuition rasor $7 less $5 coupon = $2
Spray N Wash $2 less $1 coupon = $1
Neutrogena sunscreen $10.47 less $3 = $7.47 then when I checked over receipt before leaving I see I was charged $12.27 instead of $10.47, went to C/S and got a SCOP. So FREE!
Then we went to RCSS. Olay 2 bar packs were $1.64 used various $2 or $5 wub 2 coupons and got 8 packs for FREE!
too bad there in no overage at RCSS ! but I love free all the same. 4 packs for my mom, 2 packs for my sister and 2 for me. Think I'll go back tomorrow and pick up a few more.
Both stores I got the newbie cashiers but they were both very nice and I told them to just take their time. Girl at walmart was telling me how some people come in arguing with them and trying to stack coupons. She whispered to me that you can only do that at London Drugs, I laughed and said "yep, and Save On too!"
All in all my mom was impressed by the whole thing, not sure if she would ever do it on her own though. This was the first time I had ever pricematched but walmart makes it so easy !This thread is currently associated with: Canadian Tire, London Drugs, Olay, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Walmart

If you had purchased more at RCSS they would have applied the overages to the basket

not my RCSS, they just adjust the coupon *sigh* cause we did buy more, my mom got 2 shirts and a couple other groceries. No overage, just free... c'est la vie!

thanks everyone
went back to rcss today with the wee ones ( never a good idea to coupon with kids fyi LOL) just got 4 more boxes and a few other food items.. decided to try the self checkout as I have often seen this suggested here.... never again... LOL if I have coupons that need adjusting will I go to self checkout. Did all my items put in the coupons, gave them to the lady and she said she had to adjust then to 1.64, I said that was expected but the coupons do include tax as well so to adjust also for the tax. She took a bit to find the tax writing on the coupon, I finally pointed it out to her. Then said I'd have to do them in a separate transaction to figure out the tax. I thought they would have a calculator there but but instead of mentioning it or suggesting to use mine I just went with it. she voided my olays and coupons so i could pay for my food. Then rang through the olays and as I went she adjusted each one from her podium. Was way more time consuming than just going through the regular till, so at least I know for next time. But still.. 8 bars of free soap
