I always have coupons when I go to the stores and don't try to pull the wool over their eyes, if I'm not sure about a coupon I will ask on the way in. Best be on good terms with the cashiers and staff. They will remember who you are if you are a regular at the stores. If you are nice and pleasant they will work with you and not make it a struggle when you get there.
Maybe there should be a code of conduct for serious coupon people.
Always keep in mind that your cashier could be just having a bad day!

I agree with you completely...However, I don't believe it's okay for the cashier to be rude. I always warn the cashier when i arrive that i have coupons, and ask them how they're doing, etc. But when they still give me a dirty look after trying to be sociable and nice, it just makes me feel so frustrated!!!

I can have a bad day and it's no reason for me to be rude to anyone.

As sguyot said, it's frustrating to get poorly treated when you are nice and polite to them and nice enough to bring business to their job site.

Maybe that one is always in a bad mood, walk aways with a smile and wish them a good day. Then go along on the rest of day knowing you tried. Then maybe try a new teller the next day.

i have had good cashiers so far... today was my first big couponing day... only started collecting seriously last month... the WM cashier was the greatest... she told me with a smile that i was a nice couponer... comparing my nice confused smile to the other coupon binder lady who's not as polite... my answer was simple... being Nice gets you farther in the world... after all i am the one using 40 coupons... lol
