Hahaha...yeah right. I just got an email from one of my bills saying "we still expect payment even if there is a strike. You can go online to view your bill. and do not send any payments through mail. please go in-store or online." lol

I'm going to price out letter mail with other companies if they strike. There's fed ex, purolator, UPS, DHL and can par. I normally pay a few bucks for big trades, so why not price it out.

I'm thinking I may have to "coupon fairy" some coupons into some of my other local couponers mailboxes....just so they don't go through withdrawal

Well I work at a FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's) and we do offer a FedEx Ground option which is 10% cheaper than any other out there (aside from post - we're talking tracked options) so shipping a letter or coupons from Vancouver to Ontario would take 4-5 days and cost $7.00

    Just an option for people!
I'm already seeing a huge increase in ground by about 150% since the strike was announced...
    Yikes...

Not to be rude, but yiikes, the Fed Ex rate it's more than 10 times a postal stamp. Too much for my wallet.

Rotating strikes could hit Canada Post starting at midnight

Winnipeg was chosen for the first walkout because Canada Post has built a new facility there, using new technology that the union has complained about health and safety problems due to new work methods and equipment.
