So, I've always couponed on occasion (like if the tear pad was right there and I was buying something) but I started doing it seriously 6 weeks ago.

We usually spend an average of $850 dollars a month on groceries/toiletries

This month, by using all the help on this site (thank you SC'ers!), following the sales and couponing I managed to:

    Spend: 505.29

    Save: 536.94 (Coupons: 185.95) (TOTALLY FREE: 118.59).

I SAVED MORE THAN I SPENT!!! I GOT OVER 100 BUCKS IN FREE STUFF!!

Best deal (other than free!): Intuition razor Reg 11.99 Paid 2.99.

Next month's goal: to halve this stupid grocery bill. Wish me luck!

    Here's the growing stockpiles...

LOL...yeah. We eat a lot of cereal and fruit. Vector was free the first time, and my kids loved it. Then it was on 1/2 price. And the other ones were on sale...and had coupons on them

I am in AWE of your pancheries iceblueraven!! Amazing!!! I hope one day I will have something like that!!!
I particularly love the cereal and the Clorox/Lysol wipes!! Where did you get the wipes? Those are sooo handy around the house; i need to get some, and I saw some at WM that is like, two packs bundled together, for 2-something, but ever since I started couponing, I second-guess myself; is it worth it without a coupon? lol

They were on clearance at home depot. 3 packs of clorox and 2 packs of lysol. I now know you can do a bit better on the price, but I was happy with it at the time.

WTG, that's awesome! I hear ya on the high grocery/toiletries. Up until a couple months ago, I was EASILY spending a grand a month ($250 per WEEK!). Diapers account for a big part of that- but I also have two boys that eat like horses (and they're 2.5 and 6!!!) and a husband that can pack food away like you've never seen. Couponing wasn't an option- it was a survival skill I had to develop!

I hear you on cutting the grocery bill. Since i started i have reduced my grocery bill by $150 a week and i have some extra stuff. I was tired of living pay check to pay check and not getting ahead. I did coupons when my kids were younger but not to this dedication. It's so addictive to save.
