So the plan for this weekend was to purchase a Fuji S1600 camera for DH as he wants a smaller camera to take camping. I was a few points away from redeeming for $25. The last Bonus Redemption I bought a camera with my points but it was awful and I returned it hoping to get my points back but they would only give me cash. So I held onto that $100 and yesterday bought a $100 GC and got 1000 points. Then I got a $50 GC paid for by 2 cheques from the P&G Double Coupon promotion and 2 $5 cheques from Pinecone Research and got another 500 points. During that trip I also got 7350 points adjusted to my card as I wasn't given the 15x points from the promotion this week if you spent $50, got it all worked out. Then I did an auction with some high value coupons and got 8000 points (thank you thetonester521). Also did a trade for some UPC's and got 350 points (thank you hogama) At this point I noticed that I was over the $25 redemption and closer to the $55 redemption so borrowed 849 points from my mom and 1800 from my best friend. So now I had enough to redeem for $55 and use my $100 GC and my $50 GC. So I was just going to pay the tax

So my head is still spinning a little from what happened!!!!! I had a nail app't this morning so DH drove me and we left early so that we could hit a Shoppers beforehand and get the camera. It was a new one that just opened but they only had 1 camera left on sale for $199. So I give the cashier my 2 GC's and she scans them through and then I give her my Optimum card and tell her that I have $55 to redeem as well. She scans it but it's not going through. At this point I'm thinking that maybe because all of the transferring of points that I did that they have frozen my account
She calls over a manager who says it's probably because she put the GC's through first and tells her to void the transaction and start again. So she does this and then scans the camera again and scans my Optimum card and now it says that I have $100 to redeem
Not sure what happened but must have been all the scanning of my card that she did. I happily said "yes, please, I'd like to redeem $100"
So she put my $100 GC through and because the $50 one was already put through and then voided she just gave me cash back for the difference of $23. Then I look at my receipt and it says that on my next redemption I can save $55
So with the multiple scanning and getting 15x points on the purchase and perhaps even 30x I got a completely free camera and am on my way with a good amount of points for next time. Going to wait a bit before I transfer back the points to my mom and best friend just so that my account isn't ged
Oh, and while I was waiting in line there was a woman ahead of me buying milk. It was $3.99 for 4 litres but $2.99 if she had an Optimum card which she didn't. The cashier asked if she wanted to apply for one and the woman was kind of hesitating so I asked the cashier if she could just use mine. The woman said "yes please, I can't handle another card"
My good deed for the day
So with all the money I saved I went out and bought a really cute pair of Sketchers sandals
