Thread: How many coupons do YOU take?
-

I am pretty new to couponing and question "coupon ethics" all the time! So, I have a question for you experienced couponers.... When you see a tear pad of coupons in the store, how many do you take?
I have been taking a max of 5, by the way, and that is only on items I KNOW I will buy...if I am not sure I will get it I will take one or two...just in case a great deal comes along...it gives me a chance to try new things! This thread is currently associated with: Indigo Chapters Coles Bookstore

As many as I think I will use - usually 5 - 6.

I try to take no more than 5 if it's a product that I use and like. I will take 1-2 if it's something that I think I might use or might want to trade.

I draw my limit at 5. That's why I love internet printable coupons...no guilt required.

About 5. Then if I'm going to more stores and see the same tear-pad over the next few weeks, I'll take two more each trip until I have as many as I need.

something i *may* use....2. something i love or know i will use, 4. however, if i go back to the store again the next time and the tear pad is still there, i'll take a few more if it's something i buy all the time.

I usually take 4-5 of something I am pretty sure I can use. Something I am not sure.. I take 2. Although.... today there were 2 full tear pads of the crest ones today at Dominion and my next stop was WM to use them so I grabbed 10. To be honest... I think they won't get used anyways so ... meah!

As mentioned, if it's something I use and know I'll be buying/stockpiling a lot of during a sale, I'll grab what I realistically think I'll buy. (From a full pad, maybe 10 MAX. Less from a used pack.) Otherwise, I'll grab one or two to try something, or up to 6 if I know people who use that item and I can pass it on.
Mind you, at my main grocery store there are hardly ever tear pads. And when there are, they come in masses, they will sit there for weeks without being touched. (Sometimes even weeks after the expiry date they are still there. That's when I take the whole pad and point it out to the checkout.)

I usually take 5, if I know for sure that the coupon will allow me to get items for free or almost free, I take a little more (if its something my family will use for sure or items I buy for my mom/sister). Like many others, if I find the coupon at another store, I might take 2-3 additional coupons. I never traded coupons so far so what I take is what I plan on using.
