Why some poeple are not getting their inserts

I live in Surrey too, in a house, in a newly developed area. There is no door-to-door delivery of the free local papers here. I called The Now and asked why we don't get it and they said they are no longer adding new routes for delivery.

There are a couple of pickup boxes around. 1 of them never has papers delivered to it, one of them gets the papers but without inserts, and the last one gets the papers with the inserts. However, the delivery is very sketchy. And it just so happens that whenever there is a coupon insert, the papers don't get delivered to the box.

All I can say is, people are lame. And the newspapers don't care what happens.

I am really surprised that there are that many print newspapers still being delivered. (! I guess I learned something today !)

I always just pick up the weekend paper when the inserts come out (2 copies). I don't even read it. I usually just take the inserts (I've paid for the paper) and ask the person behind me if they want it. Usually they don't LOL...so I drop it in the coffee shop next door. Once in a while I'll flip through the open house listings (I'm nosey) before I leave it.

I am really surprised that they don't have "extras" to go in the non subscriber papers. As far the mail goes, it's a criminal offence to tamper with mail, no? Seems like an awful risk for some 50 cent coupons

The black market of flyer inserts...that's a new one. People suck.

Here is the contact form to the parent newspaper company that Red Plum and other inserts would go through http://www.postmedia.com/contact-us/ If you did not get an insert, write them and let them know your postal code. No guarantee that this will resolve the problem, but they should be notified that people who want them are not getting them and where those areas are.

That's TERRIBLE!!! I hope they can put a stop to this somehow. People suck sometimes.

Well I decided to take a walk around the area where I live and went to the huge apartment complex AND WHAT WHAT DID I MIND BUT THE ...... PAPERS AT LEAST 60 OF THEM IN THE BIN WITH NO INSERTS...I will be calling the newspaper tomorrow I took a picture to show them..........wow is all I can say

i live in abbotsford and the same thing. no inserts in the paper. i dont get it either. they should be able to confront the person delivering the paper. and hold them responsble in my opinion. and ask them .

I asked the person at the newspaper office if you seem to know who is asking the delivery person and there they live then do something to stop THEM and she had no reply just stared at me

That is just pathetic! I know my inlaws seem to get them only sporadically, they live in South Surrey.

We don't get them at all in the Courier in East Van but the Courier in Champlain (further East in Van) does. Very weird not sure if that's intentional or if they are being removed. I see the paper guy in his van and they come stuffed and stacked and they just roll and toss as they walk along. I should have asked him about it last time! My inserts were all weird, got multiples of some flyers.

I live in Pitt Meadows and my neighborhood never gets inserts. Last weekend we didn't even get the paper that they were supposed to be in. We didn't get our purex sample with the coupon last week either. hmmm...

I Occasionally don't get mind, but I find I can just go buy the national newspaper on that weekend and they always have it, I know you have to waste $1.50 but really ur only cancelling out 1 coupong per Flyer, got a whole bunch of P&G this weekend like that!

Hi i was wondering what national paper you get your inserts in. I know alot of people are having problems getting them, but i think thats with subscription papers.

I've been trying to find out what papers have the inserts that you can just pick up at the local store.

I rarely get my inserts that have the coupons in them too! For the last few times that had the P&G and red plum my newspaper didn't even come at all! I just thought it was someone who came and took it! I never thought the newspaper guy would give it to someone else...I better call in to make sure this doesn't happen this week when the Smart Source is supposed to be in.

This has been happening to a lot of us. I contacted the Surrey Now and the response I got was that "P&G coupon went out last week with us but that is not booked on all addresses " meaning that some home are just doomed not to receive them! That's silly! All home should be assigned the same flyers and inserts.

Since midMay I have not been receiving my coupons or flyers. I don't like looking at them online because I can't read the fineprint, etc. Argg. She is looking into it for me and is proposing a resolution. I'll let you know what it is if you can use it for your own problems as well.

Paying money for inserts that's crazy considering what we get in them not much.I didn't get my Red Plum but I just called the newspaper Red Deer Advocate a few times and got it nicely specially delivered to me because I was just overlooked.There are some good coupons in the Red Plum this week I'm happy with just one.What's in the Surrey newspaper coupon inserts coupons for free gold bars.What's next paying the mailman to give them other people's save.ca,gocoupons.ca and websaver.ca coupon envelopes.

Just a heads up I live in coquitlam, and the same thing, I didn,t receive my paper for 4 weeks straight, kept calling them to let them know, now we don,t even have a carrier, we have to pick them up. I don,t know if anyone else complained ,for wasn,t getting the paper or the inserts, but they finally got rid of the carrier, hopefully they find a good honest person
