Was in walmart today and there was a lady looking at the Febreeze sents...i gave her one of my glade decor sents coupons for $2 and then said now you can get it for free!! PM from Giant Tiger!! She was floored that someone would do that for her...made me feel good!!
Gave 6 of the save$1WUB2 Dawns today at WM. they lady had 8 herself and when I offer her 4 she said Oh thanks do you have some for my mom. i said of course and gave her 2 they were both shocked and happy.
I had a greeeeeat time at WM's anniversary sale tonight! Spent 61 bucks total and had saved nearly 50. I handed coupons out left right and centre like I had just won the lotto! so nice to see people smile with a 5 bucks coupon. :)
I have always shared my coupons and deals with family and friends but yesterday i RAOKed a total stranger in walmart and it felt so good. The lady was so happy, i was glad i did. i forgot some of my coupons at home so i wasn't able to give out much but i am definitely going back tomorrow to be a coupon fairy. i think i might just get addicted to coupon fairying(if theres such a word! lol). it feels so good to put a smile on a stranger's face with a little piece of paper.
I don't know if this counts but after my Walmart trip where I saved over $80 in coupons today, I saw a homeless man sitting on the side of the road kind of hiding behind his sign. He wasn't asking for anything and you couldn't even see his face. I went into Sobeys and bought him a chicken wings dinner and a bottle of water.
He was so grateful. It made me really sad.
I love to do this kind of thing too. You provided him with a nice, hot fresh meal, and personally, I always worry if I give someone cash or change that it's going towards an unhealthy habit.Quote:

As the mother of a severly autistic son, I always worry that if something were to happen to me or DH, that it could be my baby in the homeless shoes, and I would hope that someone could provide a little something to provide a basic necessity like food. My shopping trips are getting longer & longer these days! Between looking for deals, clearance, coupons etc. & now I find myself snooping in people's buggies & baskets to see if I have coupons for stuff they are buying! I'm not actually snooping but giving a quick glance. I recently gave out Maple leaf chicken coupon & newman's. Both people were very appreciative. It felt really great! What a nice thread :) I sent someone a $3 coupon from the company for Maxx litter because they were looking for it...I know people see that as hv but I wasn't going to use it so why not make someones day :)
