Went to Zellers this morning for some groceries (hoping to find $50 worth so that I could get the 40k bonus points) and did some major price-matching! The cashier was really nice and there was no line at the time. So, here's a list of what I got:

    2 x Armstrong cheese 500g (reg $6.99) PM to Walmart $3.97
1 x Taco kit with movie FPC (reg $4.49) PM to Sobeys $3.79
1 x Honey nut cheerios 460g with movie FPC (reg $4.49) PM to Sobeys $3.99
2 x Schneiders mini sausages (reg $4.99) PM to Metro 2/$7
4 x Maple Leaf bacon (reg 4.49) PM to Food Basics $2.47 each

I also got milk, eggs lunch meat and squish'ems to bring my total to $50.63. Total saved: $19.33 (after $1 coupon) PLUS I got 40,000 points worth $5 off a future purchase

How did their store not have much traffic? I was run off my feet at work! Good job, though.

Good Work!!! I also found some fantastic deals at Zellers today. I normally don't shop there, but they had the rugs for a B1G1, and linens on for 1/2-60% off. Couldn't go wrong shopping there today!!!!!

No, but I kept track in my mind... Turns out, I'm not that great at math so I added a 4th package of bacon in the end (only had three to start)

I went to a Zellers at 9am that's part of a mall that opens at 9:30am - not too much traffic before the mall opens. Plus, I had my super cute baby girl to keep those around me smiling

Yeah, it makes it easier having cute kids. I started work at ten, and got off at four- was about ready to collapse when I got off work. craaaaaazy.

Psst. Here's a secret- if you are spending over 80 dollars or more on your card (for the points), tell them you'd like to split transactions into two. Or three if you have 120, etc. Keep in mind bottle deposit is considered tax. If they give you hell about splitting, tell them a cashier told you that you could do it.
(Just don't mention where you read it at. )

So, you can get the additional 40k points multiple times? I didn't know that

How much is after coupons that charged on your HBC card?

Last week Zellers had 20000 points over $25 purchases on HBC card, my total was over $25 before coupons and $20 after coupons, I didn't get the points, I went to customer service, the lady told me the charges should be over $25 on my HBC card, otherwise I cannot get the points, it was automatically.
