So, I had my very first issues at Walmart..I've never had a big issue using coupons there before, usually no muss, no fuss, but tonight...wow.
I had 2 coupons for Pampers, so I got 2 boxes. She rang in the first one, easy peasy, but the second one she said she couldn't use since it said 'One per purchase', I tried the, 'this is a purchase, this is a purchase, and both make a transaction', but she wasn't having it, so fine, I told her to take one box off and I'd pay separately (and did so).
Second issue, some GV Cheese Sausages rang in at the wrong price, and she argued with me. DD was getting fussy (she was hungry and I didn't pack a backup bottle since we spent longer than I thought..) so I said just forget it, even though it would've been a SCOP....*sigh*
Next! I had a coupon for the Skinny Cow off the Special K box, so I picked up some Mini Fudge Bars for $4.97. First she said I couldn't use it because it was only $4.97 and the coupon was over. Then when I said the policy says overages are allowed, she said I couldn't because the picture showed the sandwich bars. So she called over a CS woman and the lady said I could use it, as it just said Skinny Cow, not Skinny Cow Sandwich Bars.
Then she spouted the overage thing to her, and she told her to ring up for $5, as the policy states overages are allowed...now, this is where she made me money.
Even after the CS girl said it was allowed, she only input $4.97!!!!!!!
Well, even if it's only 3 cents, by this time I was pretty upset with her, so I decided to just pay and go to the Customer Service desk and complain. The CS Manager ended up giving me the Skinny Cow and $5 back because he was pretty mad, too.

Awesome for you
WM is a pain most of the time for me. Good thing you went to CS though and got what you deserved.

Wow, good for you! Amazing that the cashier would just go against what she was told by her supervisor! Who does that?

Way to go!
The CS manager must have headaches at the end of that cashier's shift.
The cashier didn't know her own store's policy.
Even after her CS manager told her what to do to fix it, she decided to do something else.
Don't see a long and happy future for her with that store, looking in my crystal ball.
Glad you won!

It would be easier for all of us if WM did coupon training with the cashier people. Sorry to hear you had so much difficulty, especially with the little on in tow.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

The first lady wasn't a CS Manger, her tag read 'Customer Service Specialist', whatever level that is??
But that was the main reason I complained..okay, maybe if she hadn't asked..but when your superior tells you a customer is right, how the hell do you work up the nerve to do it your own way?
And I did print out a copy of the policy, but when I went looking for it at the CS desk, I couldn't find it...good thing the CSM knew the policy.

Yeah, her fussiness was totally my fault..
I had expected to be going to the in-laws today, not going out and about (Saturday's her day to see grandma and grandpa, but they went yardsaling so had no room in the car
) so we were supposed to only be going to WM..
Well, then DH decided he wanted to eat out, since I have a headache (ear infection causing it since this morning) and was trying to be nice so I didn't have to cook..and then he couldn't decide where to eat, so we walked all around Heartland..then he wanted to go buy some shorts at Urban Planet..and yeah. It ended up being a 7 hour walk compared to the 2 or 3 I was expecting.
