Sobeys has their Gillette shave gel bogo this week and I have 4 of the pg brandsaver coupons b3 save 5 dollars. This is probably a silly question but can someone tell me how this deal works? I am just new to couponing and trying to learn all the rules and tricks you sc pros know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on your store. You might be able to buy 3 and use the coupon and get 3 free. It depends if the BOGO is a coupon or a sale. But, either way you will likely need to come home with 6 of them to use the coupon.

I think to get full advantage of both deals you would buy 6 so you can pair them for the BOGO deal then spit in two for the buy 3 deals. andsince you have 4 coupons check the limit per person before trying to get 12.

If they will let you. just buy 12 total (6 than 6 bogo) use your 4x$5 off and pay .16 -.26 total OR

Organize your purchase into 4 (2 you are paying for 2 that are free) each group with a $5off coupon so if you have 4 x $5 off you will get 16 shave gel for .45 - .55 cents each. OR

The way as suggested above (buy 3 use you save $5 and get 3 more free) you will get 24 shave gel but be paying .86 - .96 cents each

Personally, I would skip this sale and save the coupons for another time.

When Sobey's has a BOGO sale, the prices go up to "regular" price, which is extremly over inflated...or so I find. I usually find that even with a Sobey's BOGO sale I can usually buy 2 at their "regular" price somewhere else, often even cheaper.

ie, a month or two ago they had BOGO on side kicks... regular price? 2.49 That same week, Lawton's had them on sale for .88 and walmart for .99 the cost for 2 was then cheaper than 2 at Sobey's with BOGO. Heck, I don't have enough coffee into me yet to do the math, but you could almost buy 3 on sale at another store than do Sobey's BOGO

Not much of a sale if you can buy 2 somewhere else for even less

I find the same thing happens with Sobey's here as well, you have to compare prices with other stores but this particular item I can never seem to find a great deal on and is not on sale in any other stores either. I guess it wouldn't hurt to just check the store out for sales that may not be posted in the flyers.

I made a list and was checking it twice cause I thought these would be good with a combined coupon:

-Danone Yogurt B1G1 (was going to use my cereal FPC - I think it is for that)
    -Croutons B1G1 $2.49 - these are yummy!
-Hidden Valley Ranch B1G1 - Reg. $4.69 (have the $2 off cpn)
