I live in a small town and they do not have the Chocolate Cheerios available they told me they would substitute it for a different kind are they allowed to do this i do not want them to get stuck on this as I know almost all of the cashiers also the brown sugar shredded wheat is not available either

Well that is up to the manager to decide whether or not they wish to substitute. If they do decide to give you a substitute they would be doing it as a favour to you and the store probably wouldn't get their money back(unless they have spoken with General Mills about it). But it would be great customer service if they did allow you to substitute for another cereal.

It's great they offered to do that for you. No they will probably have to eat the cost but that is what true customer service is all about - "Making the customer happy".

Depends upon how many cpns are used ..bcoz ultimately they will get some of them in stock which will be bought by other regular customer's without cpns ...so they will just balance your cpns against the purchases of other cutomer's
..just in case the manufacturer checks with them ( very unlikely though )
