Hi, sorry if this is the wrong area to post this question...
I'm in my first week of couponing and tried to use the skinny cow printable today but was declined since it is black and white, she said i need to use my color printer so they know it is not photocopied
No problem, i will colour copy it tomorrow, just wondering though, is this a common policy or is black and white ok?

as a general rule grocery stores will NOT take printed coupons unless the coupons are from the particular grocers website or facebook page. Makes no difference if the coupon is in colour or black and white. If they do take the coupon (your lucky) because most all of the time its against company policy. As an example Metro stores will only take printed coupons from their facebook page.
They have a nice one this week. BOGO on Selection ice cream or sorbet.

I used Baskin Robbins "$1 off" coupon printed black white and Metro grocery store "buy 1 get 1 free" icecream coupon. They both worked but the cashiers took a long time confirming and reading the coupon over and over again.
