Coupons are gone!!

So I went into the Zehrs in the north end of Barrie today just to take a peek at the coupons and see if there was anything I would use!

I walked in the one door and the coupon board was gone, so I went to the other door and it was gone there too...so I thought ok, they must be in the store and I had time to kill so I went for a stroll! Well there wasn't a coupon to be found!

So I went and asked the lady at customer service why they were gone, she said that because of the increase in people abusing coupons they have chosen not to offer them at that store anymore. I am so sad!!!

Even if it is being abused(not by me), i still don't get why they took it away. if they are being used they are making sales and making money.

This makes ZERO sense to me too ... people can only abuse the coupons if the store lets them. If they follow their own policy how are people abusing them? Makes no sense.

It was there when I was at mine the other day, but that was Thursday I think. Does this mean they plan to not accept coupons? Or just not offer them?

I would have said "define abuse"
I get the feeling that some stores are getting annoyed with people getting free stuff, even if they do it by the books.

I was at my Zehrs and they still have the board there. I wonder why they would do that?

Maybe its because some people like to clear the pads and not let others have any and customers are complaining about it. Maybe they think they will get less complaints about that sort of thing if they don't offer them anymore. Just a thought

How is it possible to abuse a store coupon? These things are fool proof. All they have to do is scan them!
Are they mad that people are using them at Walmart or that people are choosing not to use them because they can't be stacked?

i have a friend that works at the local superstore she told me there was a new memo out about couponing (but didn't know the whole jist of it because she hadn't fully read it yet it was only put up the day before) i have also noticed a lack of manufacturers coupons on the coupon board (only coupon zone coupons for the last while)

RCSS advises that effective Friday June 17th, the is no more stacking of a cz and a regular coupon. It will be in writing for all of us this week.
