LOL!
That's funny about your Mom.
I don't swear just for the sake of swearing... but if I end up being really irate- then I may resort to using some good ol' jamaican curse words.

Depends who it is, if its someone I know then I tell them point blank. If its a stranger, then first I give them a dirty look. If that doesn't work I just ask them to mind the fact that not everyone wants to hear the language, and I don't want my kids to here it. (they are usually with me)
I don't care who they are, they should be considerate of other people, but thats another blog topic

I'm quite comfortable with profanity. I'm even proud to say I use it as frequently as I see fit. Whether we like it or not, it's a part of the english language as it's been spoken for years.
Words seem like such a silly thing to get offended by. I find it far more offensive to the ears to hear poor grammar or ignorance. I'd rather hear the f-bomb get dropped a thousand times before I hear someone say "ain't."
That being said, profanity, like everything, has a time and a place. It's a casual part of language, and if you're in a situation where you shouldn't be speaking casually (at work, with strangers, etc..) then you need to keep what you say in check, both profanity wise and content wise. In other words, I may curse like a sailor if I feel that certain vulgarity's aid in getting my point across more clearly, but only in my personal life. One must exercise a certain amount of common sense about such things.

I'm fine with it as long as Hayden's not around. I find for me it depends on who I am with and how much MTV I have been watching how I talk
I tend to have some more "crazy" friends and when with them I swear more then with my other friends...That being said when I'm with my boy I use my visiting the relatives hat and keep my tongue in tact.. I'm even way behind in my Sopranos cuz I just don't feel right watching it when he's around.... ah well lucky for me I also really love cartoons and he likes anime
