I work like 1 min away from there, I went the first thing in the morning.
I even sent a long ass email to my boss telling her I must take time off for that....and she approved and said "of course freebies is very important Kitty"

How early does it open up?
I wonder if it is better to come in to work late to catch it on the way, or leave early for lunch? (Or, er.... maybe do both? lol)
Mind you, I hate waiting in lines, especially when you don't really know what you get at the end of it, and last year I just picked up the few things I could get without waiting since I only had like 10min.

Wow... I had no idea about the international women's day at YD square... I guess I'll be seeing some of you gals this year!

I go to the National Women's Show every year.. Anyone here interested in going this year?

Sunraven- how was your US shopping last week? I am planning to go this week to buffalo. Any tips? Should I take US dollar or pay by credit card? Did you find any coupons you could use ?

I ended up buying two shirts and that was it… I hate trying stuff on so those two shirts were a major accomplishment for me. It was more a social visit than a shopping trip though.

Are you going to an outlet mall? If yes, which one?
The last time I was at a "Prime Outlet" I found that the savings card was worth it as most stores took it. You can even register for the card online before you leave… I'm rooting through my bag here but can't seem to find my card or I would have loaned it to you.
If you're going to one of the www.fashionoutlets.com don't bother getting their green card, most stores don't take it or if they do they only honour the discount on regular priced merchandise.
There was a sign that said "refunds not granted on outlet savings card and brochure of stores not available" and after purchasing and trying to use it I can understand why they had to put that sign up… obviously I'm not the only one that wanted to kill them. Complete ripoff.
If you are going to one of the www.fashionoutlets.com then borrow my card… I can meet with you before you leave… don't buy it.
I also have a Saks rewards card that I signed up for the last time I was there, not sure what kind of rewards but you're welcome to borrow that as well in case it's a 10% discount or something.
Hope that helps!
I didn't do any grocery shopping, didn't have any coupons.
As for the currency bit, I've always found that credit cards always give you a crappy FX conversion. I get a better rate because I'm an employee so I tend to just go into the branch before we leave town.
In our building there's actually an employee only branch... it's pretty awesome.
Not sure how much FX you're planning on buying but if you wanted my help to get the employee rate let me know... to be honest I am not sure how much better the employee rate is though.Add me on twitter and I'll add you back! Just mention you are from SC!

Thx Sunraven
. I think there is no prime outlet in buffalo anymore. So only option is fashionoutlet. I think my sis has the green card. I am not going to shop a lot unless I find very cheap deals.

Maybe for Black Friday, we can all take a road trip to the Prime Outlet that's near Frankenmuth.
If you haven't been to Frankenmuth, you should go before you die, it's Christmas every single day of the year there. Ahaha! Quite the experience.
Black Friday deals are crazy good, but you have to be able to handle crowds… I can handle crowds, K not so much!
