Ok so the guidance councillor at school gave us the site studentawards.com, I filled it all out and got the matches back and none really seem to be relevant to what I want to do
I was wondering if anyone knows of any other awards or bursaries sites out there where I could find ones specifically for theatre arts. I am google searching now to see what I can find...and I am guessing that most of these are due soon.man why does all of this have to be so confusing?

One place to look (and maybe you already have) is in the university/college brochure that has all the course info. I know I have seen alot of info in these as I've browsing thru them....over and over and over....... for my son.... I know there is another website that has all of that and I came across is just a while ago. I will try and find it again.
I understand how you are feeling rushed!

check with your university's financial aid/awards office. They usually will have TONS that go unawarded because nobody ever applies.

I was at the library yesterday and they had two big reference books for scholarships. But I do agree with looking at the specific university that you are going to. I think that would be your best chance.

hehe I think I changed my plans some..AGAIN rofl I want to stay in Toronto instead of going all the way to London for school so I am looking at the Sheridan Music Theatre program...but it looks like they have really high expectations and I have never had vocal lessons before so I don't know if auditioning for the program is a waste of time or not

If you are working for a chain store, sometimes they offer scholarships,
if you belong to a local church they may have bursaries for higher learning,
have you contacted someone with the Canadian Counsil for the Arts? They might know of some scholarships.
Also every few years the HRSDC puts out a book called Youth Link, inside are tons of different scholarships and bursaries.

Most universities offer Entrance scholarship, that is if you have a average above like 80, u will get it automatically. However things change and I am not sure how much do they offer and whats' the mark requirement now
