Walmart: great deal on Pampers and an RAOK!

So after my Gillette score in Zellers, I headed to Walmart for diapers. I had two of the save $5 wub any diapers and wipes, plus a few of the $1 off wipes. So here's what I bought:

2x Size 5 diapers - $24.48 each (each box has 136 diapers; oddly enough there's another size 5 box with only 120 in it and it's $34 - glad I checked.)

2x 7pk wipes $12 each

2x travel size wipes $1.97 each

Then the coupons:

so i used the $5 coupons for the diapers and travel size wipes (coupon said "any wipes"). So basically I got $3 off each box of diapers and the two travel wipes for free.

then i used two $1 wipes coupons boxed wipes.

saved $12 total in the end (the cost of one of the large boxes of wipes) so I'm happy!

Now the RAOK- so this was first started off by a wonderful gentleman who saw me looking for the size 5 boxes...he said "they're on the top shelf i'll get them for you!" how sweet of him! indeed, he did have to jump to get them but bless his heart. I then noticed a sweet young woman with him, his wife and she's having their first baby in two weeks! After congrats and some mommy chatter I was happy to hand her a set of brandaver coupons for wipes and diapers. then I remembered i had another full page from brandsaver booklet of pampers coupons so I handed them to her as well. she was so happy! one of the walmart staff came by to see what we were talking about and the woman said "she gave me coupons!"

we parted ways and it wasn't til i got home that i thought "oh no! i didn't tell her about calling johnsons for the parent pack FPC."
maybe i'll see her again and this time i'll be ready!

I completely forgot about the $5 coupon and instead used a $3 and $1 on the diapers and wipes Darn!! I may just have to go back and buy some more, lol....

Awesome! As a mom of three (including a baby), I can tell you that this new Mom is so excited for those coupons. Nice RAOK!

Great story! I'm a new Mom and proud to say I have never paid full price for diapers.Even when I wasn't a "couponer", I used coupons for diapers.I called J&J for the new parent pack, and they sent me four $1 coupons.Not that I'm complaining but, is that a parent pack?Am I missing something?

great job. the $1 coupons are great, however they do have one for a parent's pack...it is an FPC that I believe is valued up to $20 or so for any johnson's baby product. Most people have used them for the gift baskets of johnsons products...i've seen them at walmart, zellers and most likely babies r us has the baskets. anywho...i only found out about it after joining smartcanucks. maybe you could call them again as ask for that coupon. i think they only give it to each person once, but some on smartcanucks have scored more than one. not sure how...feel free to post and ask.
