Hi Everyone!
I'm very new to couponing, and you will all be so proud of me.
I went to Rexall today with my boyfriend and got the flyer for the $2.00 Old Spice body wash coupon. Walmart excepts competitors coupons so we were able to use this coupon at Walmart. We went to Walmart and got 10 of the Old Spice 250ml body washes for FREE! yay! I'm so excited! The tax was $2.60. Last week I also got 6 of the Satin Care Gillette shaving creams on sale for $1.50 used my P&G save $5.00 when you buy 3 and paid $0.09 cents (including taxes) for 6 of them. I'm on a roll!

I dont mean to be the bearer of bad news - but walmart should not be accepting those coupons

they should only be accepting competitors coupon if:
Competitors coupons qualify if:
*issued by a Canadian competitor
*for a specific item for a specified price i.e. $2.99
*buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price
*they have a valid expiration date
*and are acceptable in black, white or color
So they are suppose to have an item price listed as well. Like for example if the coupon from Rexall said "$2 off old spice reg $5.99" not just a price.
Great job on the Shave gel though, I scored myself a bunch as well !!

Thank you everyone for the nice comments! Hi Jennyfromtherock, I called Walmart so I would know for today, they said that it doesn't have to say what the price of the item was, it just has to have the save dollar amount ($2.00) off, compared to saying 50%, they won't accept it if it just says the percentage of savings (50%). Great job getting the Satin Care too!

Thanks. There has been alot of they say / we say / he say about the coupon policy - and i have no doubt that you had the best intentions when you did it - calling the store to double check prooves that - unfortunatly, what I posted was copied directly from their policy - who ever you spoke to today was wrong. There seems to be a lot of that at walmart stores - some cashiers / customer service / CSM's / managers think one thing, others think another. Some people give us greif over trying to PM and use a coupon at once, others don't. Which is why it is always a good pratice to follow the coupon policy - not what the employees say, cause in most cases ( odd as it is ) SC'ers know the policy better then most employees.
In this case it is written right in the policy:
Cause as we all know - Rexall price is much higher - even with the "coupon" so it is not a price match - unless you get walmart to match the price you would get it after the coupon at rexall.Competitors coupons qualify if:
*issued by a Canadian competitor
*for a specific item for a specified price i.e. $2.99
*buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price
*they have a valid expiration date
*and are acceptable in black, white or color
Like i said, im sure you had the best of intentions, but when things slip through the cracks this way - it just makes stores tighten up their rules, and we just dont need that.Last edited by JennyFromTheRock; Mon, Jul 11th, 2011 at 11:28 PM.

Hi jennyfromtherock, I'm noticing that too, reading on the site that it means this and others are saying it means that. I did have the best intentions, as I'm very new to couponing and if the store shouldn't have taken the $2.00 coupon from Rexall I wouldn't have used it because that's basically stealing and not couponing properly. When I called the employee from Walmart because I was reading so many different things on this site and I didn't want to waste my time going to Walmart if the coupon wasn't right, I asked her what exactly does "for a specific item for a specified price mean? and she told me what I wrote. What does it really mean? Thanks for the help!
