I went back to shoppers to speak with the manager this morning, She already knew what happened yesterday (I guess the cashier spoke to her after I left) She said she was very sorry and that I was CORRECT I should have gotten the product for free so she walked down the aisle and came back with the razors handed them to me and said, Here you go enjoy your razors!
Yay Free Razors!
This isn't a brag.. more of a question but didn't know where to post it.
I just came from shoppers drug mart and they have 3 bladed disposable razors on sale for $5.99, got the cash and it rang in it $17.99 so shouldn't I have gotten it for free because it was under $10? The cashier told me I would get it for $7.99 which is $10.00 off because it's over $10
but it's on sale for $5.99 so why would I pay $7.99!? anyways I told him to keep the razors because that's outrageous who would pay $7.99 for something that is on sale for $5.99?
Am I right or am I right?

Ur right...u should of gotten it for free!!
The Item Free Scanner Policy, which forms part of the Code, provides that "on a claim being presented by the customer, where the scanned price of a product at checkout is higher than the price displayed in the store or than advertised by the store, the lower price will be honoured; and (a) if the correct price of the product is $10 or less, the retailer will give the product to the customer free of charge; or (b) if the correct price of the product is higher than $10, the retailer will give the customer a discount of $10 off the corrected price".

You're right! Correct price is $5.99 (less than $10) so item should've been free.

Yes, you should have got the first item free and the other 2 items would have been $5.99 each. I had the same problem at my shoppers last week. I couldn't find the Scanning Code of pratice anywhere posted in the store. I went to the supervisor that night and told them I was overcharged he wanted to charge me a $1.00 more than the sale price. I had to go home and print a copy to show them because the cashier didn't know the policy. When I went back the next day with the scop and my receipt the cashier gave me a hard time very rude, because the previous cashier took down the sign when I showed him I was overcharged and there was no proof anymore. She told me if this happens again there is nothing that they will do because the cashier the night before got rid of the tags. In the end I did get the SCOP.

your right , i always take the flyer with me just to show them that the item is on sale. last week i got the 2 pack of head and shoulders free on sale for 7.99 and it rang up 13.49, showed them the flyer and got it free and the second one was at the sale price.

Really??? Do they even think of how ridiculous they sound when they say this stuff. would they be willing to pay 2.00 more than an advertised sale because someone did not do their job properly and enter in the sale price.

The SCOP is posted on their coupon policy. They owe you money. They should be able to pull the archives to know that was their price the day you made the purchase.

If they are not cooperating, be sure to talk to the manager. I find most cashiers have no idea what they are talking about.

That logic makes my head hurt
you definitely should have gotten it for free.. I make a point of asking for the person's first name if I have a problem so I can refer to them when I try to get it fixed later.. I would have asked for a manager, its confusing though until you get used to all the policies..
