I am now in my 4th month trying to get this card. There were many delays applying - waiting - sending them secured funds - waiting - having trouble because their ID requirements were crazy -telephone - finally approved by giving them the (wrong) ID number they wanted - waiting - received card but no pin number - telephone - pin number comes separate - waiting - no pin number came - telephone - new pin number to be mailed - still waiting.

I have put more time into this than it's worth. Good thing I'm retired and have nothing else to do.

So many other credit cards out there. Why not choose another one?

I remember they asked me those kind of things too (ID verification, etc,) when I first started looking to establish my credit. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.. I ended up talking to a branch manager at a bank, told them I wanted to establish credit and I got my first card.

Might be worth a shot if your situation permits.. I wouldn't put up with that from Capital One. Take my business elsewhere...
